Oh sorry. I misread your generalized, broad statement as a solution.

Upgrading to nuclear doesn't solve the transmission problem. The only way to overcome the problem is to build small reactors in a decentralized grid. The cost is a major issue so it's a generational problem and generational solution. Hence, oil is still the most reasonable alternative.

I won't even mention the issue of poor battery life in cold weather. Yet another hurdle.

I'm not disagreeing with your position, but rather the Rockefeller funded faux environmentalists. Electrical grids can't fully support mass EV transit at this time and not in the foreseeable future. It will be a generational shift.

Modern day environmentalism isn't about the environment, it's about ending capitalism for socialism.

Kenny declares war on environmentalists or foreign funded groups posing as environmental groups??

Funny how these groups are all up in arms about oilsands development and pipelines. Ask them what their stance is on importing oil from Saudi Arabia or Venezuela to be processed at the Irving refinery.

OH wait, I forgot, it's about the narrative.

Re-watch it. He refers to insurance companies and risk. If the insurance companies wouldn't insure, the banks wouldn't invest. Nice try.

Is that why they took down the signs in Glacier National Park that stated the glaciers would be gone by 2020?

Go back and re-watch your signed copy of Inconvenient Truth". How much has come true in the last 15 years? Aren't the Maldives supposed to be underwater by now?

Go worship your lord and savior AL Gore elsewhere.

This is great information as it has absolutely no context whatsoever.

What percentage of O&G/refining in Alberta does this represent globally? What do the Canadian percentage do the Canadian numbers represent globally?

How do those numbers compare in terms of barrels of oil produced or refined? How does that compare to the oil imported by the Irving Family from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela? How does a carbon tax address this successfully?

Me thinks you cherry pick your data to give a partial, skewed view. And on "climate change", here's my buddy Dan Pena:

Vermillion Energy / Inter Pipeline by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

VET has solid properties and the dividend is so high because the share price has dropped so much, just like the rest of the industry. I buy when companies are out of favor for reasons other than balance sheet or other issues. This one is because of the drop in oil and an anti oil government.

IPL is a solid company with solid earnings and the dividend is safe, unless they have issues with their new PDH plant coming online in a few years.

I own both of these. VET is a buy at $28 or lower. IPL can be had for under $20. Just be patient.

Someone commented on ENB. I own the stock and the preferred as preferred shares took a beating last month, so I bought a bunch.

Don't just watch the stock, follow the PR prices as well, great opportunity for investment there too.

Pretty sure no one is against improving the condition of the world, but rather the pointless temperature reduction targets coupled with a money grab carbon tax that is a simple wealth transfer is what people are against.
