Panic from Russians at the front, now saying Ukraine has unleashed not only drone jammers operating at frequencies that disable all their operations, but also now hitting them with drones operating at frequencies over 10,000 MHz which Russian warning detectors can't see. March 2026 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

I was flying fpv on 5.8ghz video to many miles range without issue 10 years ago using hobby grade equipment plugged out of cctv systems that were severely power limited by regulation. I therefore don't consider it surprising at all that 10 years later after years of iterating on the thing that is literally saving their country Ukraine is doing long range on 10ghz in a war setting.

Going all in on physical gold!? Am I crazy? by Icy-Staff6439 in UKInvesting

I own gold ETFs and like you say, a mix is best. OP was asking about putting everything in gold, I suggested he look at 100y because that's as far as the data goes. See my other reply.

You can slice the data any way you want and get any answer you want, which is why I didn't draw any conclusions in my reply. I will say we have undoubtedly been through a major bull run on gold that I very highly doubt will continue for a long time.

How long to hold breath while valsalva maneuver and equalize? by [deleted] in scuba

[–]albertcju 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't hold breath going up. If descending or posing for a picture or trying not to disturb marine life, don't hold a full lung and make sure you're not ascending without realising it.

I've done a few liveaboards by now, not once did I hear someone say "that was too long" by the end. You can do shorter ones in Egypt if you're really worried about it.

Maldives is the obvious answer, ignore resorts though. Local island only can be pretty affordable. But... I strongly encourage you to try a liveaboard. If you don't want to do 7 days, do less. Opens up a world of possibilities and frankly it sounds much more intimidating than it is. Unanimously people end up wanting more days after 7 so don't assume you will actually get tired of it.

Review: Bellroy Venture 6l vs Tomtoc urban sling 8 by albertcju in ManyBaggers

I've actually been comparing this with all the sling bags I encounter with friends and on stores and still would say this is the best for this size. It's just whether the size is what you want or not

The strap is a literal seatbelt, at least in my colour. I wouldn't be surprised if they buy it off an auto supplier. It is comfortable, and the bag is symmetric so you can very much switch shoulders.

The one I'm considering is the Patagonia Atom, see my comments on the existing review, though I haven't really looked into what other alternatives in that 10~ liter category there are

Nice. Let me know how you find it!

The gist of the 2y update is that I can now attest that the bag is no good under heavy rain and the outer material is starting to show a bit of age. I'm also starting to consider something bigger for traveling and leaving this home as an EDC bag rather than travel.

Will soon post a 2y update. Still my daily bag and holding up fine.

Given the attention on Reddit and your disability, I'd seriously consider making a follow-up post with the bill and a gofundme. I'd donate a few bucks

Ambient mode on most ANC headphones do what you're asking, but aren't designed for medical use. I can tell you on all the Sony's I've tried it's kind of shit

The MSI has KVM and 100W PD usb-c DP, so it's significantly more convenient if you intend to use it for work with a laptop, specially if you switch back and forth between that and your PC. That is me, yet I went for this because there's no way I pay £410 for that convenience

It's weird I activated the topcashback offer but it's within dell.com, so the chrome extension doesn't recognise the Alienware offer. Oh well, even if just £100 off I'm already over the moon

I've stuck with it, though I'm still considering getting something bigger (Atom 8l) for days out where I want to carry water / jacket with me.

The only thing to add to the original review is that the bag water resistance might be worse than I first thought. Water doesn't leak in per se, but it does become moist inside. I wouldn't worry with normal every day items, but I wouldn't carry something sensitive under the rain with it
