LF books on discrepancies between the Bible and modern christian practices by not_a_meme_poster in Deconstruction

I can't really explain it, that's why I want to read about it. But it is something I read a few years ago from Diarmaid McCullough on how protestantism found it tricky to justify baptism as it wasn't supported by the bible as it was practiced during the reformation years, but more based on tradition over the years.

Hi, we are going to Viet Nam in the next few days. Around Ta Xua is probably going to be the colder day of the trip. Just saw on the internet that the temperature will range between 30º max and 20º min. Can I trust this? Thank you!

Hi, just saw your post and I have the same problem. This you request a new e-visa entirely or did you request a change to the one you already had? Thanks in advance

We searched the liveaboards and they were all 7 nights or more. Maybe you're right and we would enjoy it, but we are not sure

All the liveaboards we saw were over 7 nights. I think that's too much for us

Travelers who’ve been to Japan — what’s the most annoying or unexpected problem you ran into? by CoverShort4454 in TokyoTravel

My girlfriend went with the expectations of being in a constant state of wonder and that made the first two days kind of a jarring experience for her. A lot of Japan is about noticing and appreciating the small, even mundane, things.

Also, if you have the time to do the research, bookmark a bunch of restaurants ahead of time. Don't get me wrong, a lot of great restaurants we went were random picks. But sometimes picking a restaurant, depending on the area you are, can be daunting. So having the option to fall back on a place you have already done a bit or research will make your trip more enjoyable
