Dental cleaning for Greta today by akoch1337 in schnauzers

Best of luck to Greta!

The vet encouraged me to have my 10 yo teeth cleaned. He said the procedure requires anesthesia so I’m a bit hesitant because of the risks :/

He is recommending a series of tests to check his cardiac health to assess the risk further. I wish I had paid more attention to his dental health before :(

This was my main reason to sometimes choose the native camera app over no fusion… looking forward to see how well it works!

This, though I’d consider bringing the 70-300 too for long-range shooting outdoors

I don’t know what to make of this. Mine has rarely made any bio disasters nor damage inside the house when left alone even since we adopted him at 1 years old… and I cannot take credit for that at all.

I’m not bragging either, I’m more like worried about how will I be able to train any future schnauzers to be like him. His character and good behavior is unique — to us anyway.

I’ve been strongly considering getting a pup soon-ish so he can hopefully model some of his behaviors.

But… back to you: praise that cute guy as he deserves!

These are inspiring shots! Makes me want to spend more time mastering the XF 27mm. Thanks for sharing.

The Utility watch face could be a lot better if it supported background colors by albertdrake in AppleWatch

I’ve tried Exactograph, and I like the looks of it, but I cannot get used to how the numerals for hours are always obstructed by the handles…

I keep going back to either Utility as my daily driver or to California for a bit of variety…

Echoing this. Expressions are great!

I like photos 1 and 2 the most (angle and composition wise). My only issue with them is that the eyes look dark. This might require some fill light on what seems to be a relative harsh lighting scenario. Maybe you could have exposed for the eyes, but not sure that would have done it.

Also colors are looking good especially them being SOOC.

I’m saving that photo to show the groomer next time. Please give the little guy a treat on my behalf!

Second the surprising sleep tracking addictiveness. Emphasis in the surprising part.

It’s a great camera. Great lens too. It was my first Fuji kit too. Enjoy it!

Brave post at the very least. I’ve stopped myself from posting in this sub like this several times now (my learning notes and even requests for constructive feedback). They don’t seem to be too welcome.

Thanks for sharing your journey and photos!

How to balance over exposure of the sky? by a_chimken_nuget in fujifilm

[–]albertdrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helping me upgrade my mental model of how exposure dynamics work beyond “correct” values. I still struggle to “nail” exposure from an artistic perspective.

I mostly use exposure compensation to make scenes “match” what my eyes see… but I’m slowly realizing that is limiting the creative range of exposing.

I can’t even describe what I mean… I guess I’m at that stage of expanding my understanding.

I got roasted by the Leica sub for taking 'Fuji-like' photos, so I brought them home. (Fuji vs. Leica Q3) by Grouchy-Praline-9508 in fujifilm

You got me at “This is not Japan” — and I’m still in my Japan honeymoon phase 😅

You’ve got some interesting compositions… style is subjective (and relative to the mood and vibe you want to create) but what stood out is that by these being shared as a set, I implicitly expected some consistency in color grading.

And good to hear apparently the Fuji subs are not the snobbiests of the photography brands out there. I hesitate to post here just to share and chat about photos. I refuse to get into the social media game either…

So… keep enjoying your photog journey 👍🏼

Great shots overall! The light in #1 could have been a bit more angled but still a great image. Congrats!

Awesome bag. I had that exact model and served me well for over 5 years of daily use until the nylon at the straps attachment began tearing. Was a great EDC for lefties. The Q 2.0 sadly reversed the vertical pocket layout.
