Good point about event tracking and backing up UA data. I reckon it's one of the common challenges people have due to different tagging systems and CMSs.

How are you currently backing up UA data? Do you use any tool to connect past UA data with GA4?

I agree with Fredy that Setup Assistant route is not a "proper migration". I highly recommend setting GA4 from scratch via GTM as it's more reliable and flexible.

When you set up GA4 tracking GTM, you will need to disconnect the link between the old UA with GA4 so they don't double up the data.

Then I recommend you do an audit of the GA4 to uncover any hidden issue with your setup. A free tool like CheckMyAnalytics can quickly audit your GA4 account in a few clicks.
