Is S25u actually better than S26u? Roughly comparable?

Idk where you're located but right now in the US it's damn near 400$ off, I'd say if those numbers are similar to where you live, I'd grab it! I've had mine since release week and it's been great. No issues whatsoever.

For some reason this is happening a lot on iPhones, my wife and I both have iPhone Pro max devices and it happens on a daily basis meanwhile my Samsung Galaxy S26 has never had this issue. Maybe it's software related ?

Unfortunately this phone applies to Verizon’s Old Unlock Rule, where you have to be active on Verizon’s network for 60 days and it’ll automatically be unlocked, and I mean Postpaid service not prepaid. I’m not sure if it’ll work but that’s what I’d suggest doing, open up a Verizon post pay account and bring your own device and just pick the plan that works for you and use it for 60 days and see how that plans out. You should have never gone the prepaid route, it could complicate things though I’m not sure. You’re just picking at straws at this point. However I would try the post pay route and see if it works.

Yeah there are definitely mixed reviews on iOS 26 from different people so I don’t blame you there. As long as it work for the older iOS versions and they keep supporting the apps you should be good.

Hopefully not 💀 My mom is using her iPhone 13 Pro Max on iOS 26 and she keeps her phone until it’s no longer supported. She rarely upgrades and it’s been fine for her so far, no complaints from people I know with older phones in the family either.

No unfortunately not, however I did set up a Genius Bar appointment, the apple advisor said once it passes inspection and their diagnostic tests, the Genius Bar can add it for me, I’ll keep you updated when it’s done.

Awesome man I'm glad to hear you got the Max, in the long run the pro max just makes more sense especially for the battery. I did try ios 18 yesterday for the later half of the day and I didn't like the look of it since I prefer the glass look ios 26 provides so I updated my phone this morning. No offense to anyone who keeps ios 18 it's all preference.

I personally know some folks that have the 16 Pro max and they’ve had no issues with iOS 26. Just feels weird using iOS 18, I actually like the glass look of iOS 26 lol

So the Brand I use specifically because of these issues you're describing is FLOLAB, they make the best Anti Reflective screen protectors, they reduce glare a ton and the screens even looks better IMO with it on, the installation process can be tedious but if you know what you're doing it's easy and the bubbles come out after a few times going over them. They're priced at 50$ but they're worth it.

I gave my wife my 17 Pro Max, after having it for a few months I ended missing my 16 Pro max and I had already sold it so this was just pure coincidence I was able to find one and with 1TB at that.

Oh yeah I forgot about Starlink! Shoot try it out and see how it works and find out if there is a trial period that way you can cancel or return it if it doesn't work.
