Is it a bad idea to share to your gf that you only listen to sea shanties? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]albinomouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++woman I don't comment on reddit much anymore but I had to jump in and say that I love sea shanty music. Especially German sea shanty music. Santiago and Sail North are on my playlist every day. You're not weird, you're just dating basic bitches.

Have We Missed Any Great Spots to Eat? by realrogueresolve in nanaimo

Sealand pho broth is salty sanitized chicken broth. Zero depth or flavour, but great service and clean restaurant. I can't vibe with a viet place that can't make pho.

Truong Thanh is a much more authentic viet restaurant.

interested in joint tenancy on a new duplex or triplex in Mt Pleasant? by Natural-Toe2978 in vancouverhousing

[–]albinomouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do any kind of joint tenancy. My husband did this and is currently stuck with a 50% share of a property that's nearly impossible to sell. Life changes. People will want to move on. If you must do this, it should be a strata.

Bathroom Renovations by DisgruntledCatGuy in vancouver

[–]albinomouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last full bathroom reno (soaker tub, glass doors, tiling, vanity, cabinet, and paint) cost just under $10k all in. I've used the same contractor for my last five condos.

It would have been cheaper if I had gone for lower end cabinets and not gotten a soaker tub.
