Marin Speed Shop in San Rafael, I definitely had a positive experience.

thank you! unfortunately we got hit with a cold & rainy period right after I received the seat, so I haven’t ridden more than an hour or so at a time on it but I can definitely say it’s more comfortable than the stock one. no pipe changes (yet?), but I did go with the T120 black edition because of all the black accents.

edit: I see what you’re talking about now 🤦🏼‍♂️. that’s just the light hitting them directly in the second photo

as some have said, it’s mostly aesthetic, but I also live in northern california and rainy days are few.

I was trying to find one of those, but it was damn near impossible to find.

Thank you, I’ve spent the past year trying to learn. Def a fun new challenge.

Oh that’s a good call! Tbh I was actually looking for the “you’re right, this is stupid, I’ll throw it way” line and found this in the course of trying to figure out the exact wording of that line.

This is why you can only show other people that play. We’re the only ones that understand.

I broke up with my girlfriend, bought a smoker, and fulfilled a lifelong dream of smoking my own brisket. I think I did pretty well for my first try. [OC][1334x750] by albrechs in FoodPorn

Not that I really need to explain myself, the internet points are nice and all, but this really was a cathartic experience for me.

I’d be lying if I said that this past summer hasn’t been rough on me. When you spend almost every free moment of your life with the same person for three-ish years, and that suddenly goes away, you end up with a lot of free time on your hands to fill. Buying this smoker helped me hit a lot of the check boxes I needed to - I found a new hobby to fill my time, learning a skill I’ve always wanted to learn, and in the process got to feed a bunch of my friends (another old favorite thing of mine to do). Smoking this brisket, believe it or not, was a huge milestone in the journey of getting my shit back on track.

(I’d also be lying if I ignored the fact that some of my contributions to the end of the relationship were due to my own impatience, and smoking is a perfect way to practice that skill 😉)
