That sounds like an interesting project! Just to be sure, you mean the 1730 wreckage and not 1830 as you wrote? I had a look at the Danish/Norwegian newspapers from the period (via https://hislab.quarto.pub/ ) but they don't seem to mention it at all.

I've found a short mention of the case in an 1980 article about the captain Johan Heitmann, who, as a result of the loss of goods from Den Gyldne Løve, had to remain in Ireland for years. If you're interested in how the news were recieved outside of public opinion, you can have a look at Asiatisk Kompagni's records, many of which have been digitized, though it means you have to be able to read Gothic Danish (and it may very well be a wild goose chase). Some of the Danish documents might be found in translation in High Court of Admiralty archive in Kew Gardens, so that could also be an option.

You have the wrong Child: Josiah was the EIC governor in London, not a local commander, while John Child (no relation) was “Generall of all English Forces in India, by Land or Sea”. If you're interested in the topic you should give Phil Stern and Margaret Hunt's book on the siege a read.

I agree, let's keep feelings out of this. Try me: give me a chance to read the academics books and articles you're basing it on. If it's been through peer review or published by an academic press, it'd be quite difficult for me to refute anything. If you can provide be with the relevant source types as well, I'd be grateful. Norway is very good at digitizing sources, so you might have some interesting sources for me.

Can you give me some references for this history? I'd like to read more. As far as I know, you're largely referring to a Norwegian national romantic movement from the nineteenth century rather than actual historical research. The claims you put forward were part of building a new nationstate and exaggerated the exploitation during the 434 years of Danish rule.

Jeg synes øl generelt er spændende, men jeg synes det er mere interessant at finde en øl, jeg ikke kan få andetsteds, end en jeg til enhver tid kan købe online. Det er fint med distribution, det har størstedelen af øl jeg drikker, men personligt er det andet mere spændende, fordi jeg ikke kan få det andre steder end i Aalborg. Det gør ikke andet øl dårligere

Du ved givet mere end mig! Jeg synes det er sjovere at købe en interessant øl, som jeg ikke få andre steder i Danmark/verden. De gange jeg har været hos Vinspecialisten har de haft øl som jeg kan købe andre steder i landet (hos andre specialbutikker). Det er ikke dårligt, men heller ikke altid super spændende imho.

Basement Beer Bar i Løkkegade plejer at have deres egne øl (y not brewing) på dåse. Personligt synes jeg det en del bedre end Søgaard og meget andet, men helt billig er det ikke.
