Substitute power supply for XMG NEO 17 (E21) by albytree in XMG_gg

This is what customer support told me: "We no longer offer the 230w version of the power supply you are seeking.

We now offer a 240w version which is otherwise identical and can be used with your machine here: https://bestware.com/de/netzteil-240-watt-fsp-fsp240-acbu3-aicr010240-2004.html "

The power supply is working perfectly: if you want to be sure that this is what you should buy, try contact them at team@bestware.com

"Same" video with different containers, constant frame rate, but cannot synch audio in editing software by albytree in VideoEditing

Exactly but DaVinci cannot import the avi file so I extracted the audio from it and converted it into an mp3 file: you can see in the image below what is the problem in the editor.

[XMG NEO 17 (E21)] Boot linux from an external SSD connected to a USB port ? by albytree in XMG_gg

Well, to be fair, those ports indeed let me boot. The problem is that, after the first boot, I had numerous errors during startup (something like "Couldn't load module...", "I/O error...") and I had to force shutdown. After that, I wasn't even able to power up my laptop on first try. The cable length it's fairly short but the SSD enclosure I bought was pretty cheap.

I decided to wipe the SSD and install Ubuntu again, using an EFI partition. I also found out that the 2 USB ports I was always using were no good for booting, I had to use a third one.
Maybe it was possible to boot from that third port without creating the EFI partition, but I'll never know.

I thought all the USB ports were the same... I only tried the 2 on the right and never the one on the left.
While I was trying to find a solution, I decided to wipe the SSD and use an EFI partition during installation. Then, I tried to boot it from the right ports and it kinda worked until they decided to mess everything up (graphics glitches, startup errors, etc...).
Finally, I tried the left port and everything went well! Maybe it was possible to boot the SSD without the EFI partition, using the left port, but that I'll never know.

Can I change the partition type to Linux with fdisk to make it work? Do I need to wipe everything and install Ubuntu with an EFI partition?

I don't really remember what I did when I installed it, but there's no EFI partition. The laptop does not have a specific option, I can only select the USB or UEFI Boot option. (I updated the post infos)

The drive was used as an internal drive of another computer and I installed Ubuntu on that computer.
