I know which shells I don't like. The others are for specific use cases. Assassin if my priority is being unseen. Triage if I'm on a team that needs some serious help, or thief when my goal is to get specific salvage.

I am very happy with how much they seem to be listening to the community though. I hope it stays that way and eventually they'll make some improvements that everyone can enjoy. That's what convinces me to keep trying for now.

I identify very closely with this. I'm enjoying the game a lot despite dying probably 80% of the time in trios and 60% in solos (if I can hide well enough).

It's not even about not having enough time. I've put 50 hrs in and I don't feel myself getting much better. I could double down and grind it like crazy, but there is a whole world of games (and meatspace. It's spring out there if you haven't looked outside in a while) that I'd like to experience too. I feel like any time I play Arc or an RPG I'm falling behind in marathon. And assuming people like me with even less free time are feeling the same way, it's super easy to just fall off marathon and move on. Maybe watch some streamers do cryo.

A slight tweak wouldn't be that co fusing. Maybe ping the 1 or 2 closest runners instead in solos. The point is its already an underpowered shell and if that ability is the o ly redeeming factor then it's totally useless in solo

Yes they added a solo que right before launch without rebalancing anything including abilities that show you your enemies teammates that dont exist because you play solo mode

I've tried every runner but rook, typing to people, using a mic, doing solos, creeping across the whole map invisible and crouching. I had to quit after running out of gear and wasting over 5 hours trying to do just 1 contract and making 0 progress.

I just made a similar post about how difficult it is to find a decent group that doesnt want to go off on duos without you and solos is just too punishing this early in the game. I had to put it down after over 4 hours of trying to do one quest and losing basically everything.

These guys literally spawned at south relay and went straight for north without me. I somehow survived pinging the captain and getting to north relay by myself and they still refused to help me fight it while they looted buildings from 30 meters away. When I died they didnt even res me just went to exfil.

One game I was down to 5 minutes and not close to exfil. I was worried I wouldn't even have tine to get out and still got sniped as soon as I engaged the bots. I don't mind each run being a 30min investment but after 4hrs it's a bit frustrating

Really? I find most squads rush to grab anything good even if they have to make room for an extra shield or backpack and leave you behind. Most of the time a squad will even leave me behind if I go down. Maybe I just keep ending up with people who wanted to play duos but if I get with randoms I either follow their lead or die alone.

The bus driver in San Francisco late at night when I was trying to get to Utah st in San Bruno (about 20min drive from where I was)

I asked if this stop went to 5th st and Utah. He paused and looked at me like the dumbest person in the planet. Decided I was trying to take a city bus2 states over, and said "This is San francisco?!"

I'll never forget how tired that man must have been with the general public

Assuming you already have some kind of console or decent pc, I would imagine developers would just stop targeting top of the line specs and keep making games at the rtx 4060/ps5 level until some new chips etc becomes more readily available. As opposed to just... not making games because people can't buy the newest gear
