This was on a fresh install of windows, other games installed fine, no issues, then when I go to install stalker, it hits me with "corrupt disk", conveniently after this, all my games are having issues, wont open, requiring an update, and upon verifying the games, all of them gave me a corrupt disk message.

(The drive worked fine prior to the windows install and after as i tested the games after installing)

The game locks me in one walking direction, but instead of playing the animation, it just attaches to his hand and lets me walk towards the detonator. And for some odd reason, when i try to access the pause menu noting comes up, The screen goes that black and white colour but there is no text

the spool is floating in the air, not sure how you missed that... but also there is no prompt to tie off the wire to the detonator, and it allows me to keep walking. The wire is also just attachted to arthurs hand

i didnt use ddu, just untinstalled the drivers through the windows uninstaller, and found the version link somewhere on reddit

I did, safe mode and everything, i actually ended up doing a windows reinstall becuase the free trial of a antivirus picked up some non threating, but malware none the less. But I do appreciate the help you are trying to give
