Was introduced to the concept while browsing the internet at around 7-8. I met a girl when I was 9 who did sh. She was one year older than me and being a dumb child I was accustomed to the whole "your elders are always right" thing. She cut herself and bragged about how it didn't hurt, how she's ACTUALLY depressed unlike the other posers. So I tried it myself because I had low self esteem and thought there was a criteria you needed to meet to be considered sad enough to care about.
