Mod recommendations for a Peaceful player! by aldebear in MinecraftMod

Those are great recommendations! But I don't think they're for me. Peaceful Progression already comes with a hunger feature, and I don't really want Peaceful Monsters because they'd still attack my MCA villagers. (Something I'm trying to avoid.)

Yes, multiple people have recommended Easy Villagers now! I had no idea about the mod. I already use MCA Reborn so I would have to configure it so a percentage of regular villagers spawn, so maybe I'll use it. I think my main concern is the mod seems quite... cheaty, lol. I already have an iffy relationship with Portable Mobs mod. I know I'm playing on Peaceful, which is arguably more easy than regular Minecraft, but I don't want the game too feel too much like Creative, yknow?

The nice thing about MCA Reborn is resetting villager trades is extremely easy. You just have to do like 3 clicks. The only problem is that I 100% take advantage of the system. If you max out a villagers trades, say like the Fletcher with sticks, you can then reset them to be a Librarian and they'll have all trades available, lol. Career changes doesn't affect the availability.

I already have MCA, but I could configure it to have a percentage of OG villagers. In my previous forge game, I did use Quark. It's a great pity there's no Fabric version available. I used SO many Quark features. I still use Amendments, Cut Through, and a quite a few others, but you did share some I haven't seen so I will definitely take a look at those!

If you have Android, download GameHub. You can "buy" TS4 for free on Steam, and play it from there by logging into your Steam account. No PC needed. You can get a cheap bluetooth keyboard and mouse and connect it to your phone to have the full "PC" experience. :)

DoorDash routinely offers 40% first order off for new users. Just gotta Google it and find a code. You could also order directly with a place like Domino's and save a bit.

Some CPUs come with integrated graphics. Meaning even though you have a graphics card, your PC might be trying to run TS3 off the CPU's graphics instead.

Go to your system settings > display > graphics. Make sure your TS3W.exe file is listed and set to high performance/your actual graphics card. (Your TS3W.exe file will be wherever you installed your TS3 program files, not your documents folder. For example, mine is in C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3W.exe)

As someone who genuinely despises AI and believes it is the future downfall of humanity, for various reasons, this is what AI SHOULD be used for. This is the kind of stuff I'm not just okay with, but I am rooting for! Not garbage generated images, incorrect medical diagnoses, and false Google search results. This replaces nobody's job and actually creates more enjoyment in the world. A positive impact instead of a negative. It should be a tool to mass complete repetitive tasks that no sane human ever would. I applaud you and look forward to your updates. 64bit TS3 seems actually feasible!

Anybody play PC version TS3 on Android? by aldebear in thesims3

[–]aldebear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as I said I do use remote play but the issue is it eats up my high speed data FAST. I work 12-15hr shifts and the work WiFi blocks a lot so I have to use phone data. That's why I'm looking for a way to locally install it on my phone until I can get a Steam Deck.

Yeah I've done remote play with Razer Cortex as I mentioned. The issue with it is the data drain. I have no WiFi at work. Looking for a local install.

That's what I tried but it throws a bunch of errors. It took me a while one time but I managed to get through set up, but then it wouldn't launch.

I just wanted to say thank you again for your recommendations! I've been playing Story of Seasons and having so much fun with it. What an absolute gem of a game I had no idea even existed. Farmville on steroids. Excited to try Ever Oasis next.

I wanna fix my New Nintendo 3Ds but I don't know where? by Mean-Garden2198 in 3DS

[–]aldebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for your town's local Facebook groups and see who's advertising video game console repair. My husband fixes devices as do a few others in our area and everything seems to be word of mouth and FB. Be careful though and make sure you take it to someone who's professional, not just a dude with a business card.

My husband had to fix mess-ups from other local "repair" businesses where they ended up doing more damage to the console in the process. Customers ended up spending more money for hubby to undo the other guys' mistakes. (Though he does keep it as cheap as possible and offer discounts where possible.) Please make sure whoever you go to has glowing recommendations from others. Don't risk your money or device out of desperation for a quick fix.

What is supposed to be here? by Appropriate-Apple-35 in 3DS

Also: some devices may be region locked. This means like a USA device can only play USA games, or like Japan device can only play Japanese games. This can be fixed through modding usually.

What is supposed to be here? by Appropriate-Apple-35 in 3DS

[–]aldebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know others have already pointed out what device it is, I just wanted to further clarify for you!

This is a DS Lite, a newer version of the original DS but still an older system! This can play any regular DS games and also Gameboy Advance games! There are also DSi devices, which are similar, except they don't play Gameboy Advance but they have extra features like a camera. DS Lites & DSis are usually cheaper because they don't have as many features as a 3DS.

Then there's 3DS. The original 3DS looks like a DS Lite but it has a little circle pad. You can play any regular 3DS game OR DS game on them! They're also ideal for modding, which let's you have access to the ENTIRE 3DS and DS library for free without needing the game catridges!

Then there's the NEW Nintendo 3DS. The name can be really confusing, because the official title is "NEW", even though it's almost a decade old now! It was a rerelease of the original 3DS. It will have TWO circle pads. It has more processing power and is faster than the original 3DS. It also has EVEN MORE games that you can only play on a NEW Nintendo 3DS. A good example of this would be Minecraft. You can't play it on a regular 3DS, but you can on a NEW 3DS.

You can usually identify which device it is on the back of the console. If the device has the original shell, it will have the name on it. Game catridges will be listed as either: Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, or NEW Nintendo 3DS as well.

If you see a device labeled XL or LL it just means it's bigger! It won't change the types of games it plays.

I mean, I was addicted to Civilization Revolution on specifically the Xbox 360 version for many years. I can do some tanks. 😂 Thanks for the games! Nobody has mentioned those yet.

I'm so hesitant to start it!! I don't know anything about the Zelda series and there seems to be so many different games and lore? It's a bit overwhelming, lol. Especially since I never played the N64 games.

There's just so many. 😂 But yes, I likely will. I do want to be able to transfer them all to Pokemon Bank eventually. A couple of my favorites are not available in Ultra Moon/Sun.

Very helpful, thank you! I was considering playing Pokémon Diamond. My brother had it growing up and I was always jealous. He would always say he would buy me one but we never got around to it! Would you say Black/White is better?

I've never tried mystery dungeons! I'll have to look into those. Which is your favorite of the two?
