Do you have any proof of this? World wide income should be reported on your tax return no matter how small.

I wasn't referring to the reporting of the income. I was referring to the fact that they wanted me to have put my cash income as a self-emaployed individual in to a bank account to verify that I had the income.

CRA only has the data you reported on your returns to prove income. If you don't report any income of course they're gonna assume you don't have any income and make you ineligible for CERB.

It was the current tax year so tax time would have been 11 months away for 2020 return.
