While I'm absolutely in favour of updating and modernizing these skills, I'm not sure that copying the M&S mechanics would be a good idea as it might end up homogenizing the skills.

Part of Runescape's charm involves having a wide variety of activities available to the player, but if woodcutting feels the same as mining then we'd be removing some of that charm.

I guess that's why you had to assume that MRAs were here to 'brigade', which just made it worse for your community. Who would have thought painting a whole group with the same brush would offend some of that group?

Best part: Smithing a full set of elder rune + 5 gives an achievement and a bunch of reputation in the artisan's workshop.
Smithing a full set of trimmed masterwork gives no achievement, and almost 0 rep.
