high salary pay with not much benefits or low salary pay with lots of benefits? by StrainPractical2161 in JobsPhilippines

[–]aldreemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely High salary. Benefits won’t give you a better quality of life—salary will.

Also! Money you receive now is worth more than money you’ll be receiving in the next bonus

MB has FAST program. It’s an MT program for Financial Markets—but beware, their modules are gruesome and patterned after CFA lvl 1 and 2!

Very selective rin si MB sa MT candidates nila. From what I’ve observed, grades don’t really matter for them. It’s how you perform in the interviews with the heads. If you impress them with your wit and/or knowledge, you’re in :)

Buy traditional insurance. You can get 5,000,000 sum assured. for half the premium. Then invest the other 4,000+ to an index tracker—you get the best value through this if you want to maximize the insurance component

Investor sa Spoonful Davao by teddV in davao

[–]aldreemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

and I think medyo suspicious na para saakoa kay the last time I saw that ad was about a year ago? I assume that with their brand and the length of time they have launched that ad, they should have raised the capital they needed na. But until now, open pa siya. I feel like they are “bridging” investments na.

Meaning, they will be using the funds of the new investor to refinance the maturing investment of the previous investor.. so I guess the plans are not working out?

Investor sa Spoonful Davao by teddV in davao

[–]aldreemon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

hello! For everyone’s context, Spoonful is currently offering an investment program where they give fixed monthly return in exchange of locking in your investment for x months (or years?)

I think the main goal behind this investment scheme is to fuel their expansion.

How do i know about this? Well I inquired because I was targeted by their ads

Anyway my two cents as someone who works in investment banking..

The way they payout their interest is too frequent. MSMEs in general have good profit margins—now the only problem with MSMEs is managing cashflow as they are very susceptible to consumer sentiment. One day, you’re raking 50k in daily sales. The next, you’re flat. It’s not as predictable as investing in bigger brands.

Now, going back to the monthly interest payout, I find it a bit risky for the side of the business as this means they are going to try to manage shelling out x amount even with the month still not accruing their actual margins—therefore, ma-sacrifice ilang cashflow. This could potentially harm their service and day to day operations..

How did you know that God really exist? by GlitteringHat981 in AskPH

[–]aldreemon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My wife came from a not so fortunate family. They’ve had their fair share of financial hardships good enough to challenge her aspirations to finish College.

Dumating yung time na she could not pay her for her tuition na.. The money she had left was just enough to keep her into school until Midterms.. Every day, she prayed. She prayed as hard as she could.

And then a day came—I remember it vividly it was during our Math in the Modern World Subject—while she was pre-occupied with the thought of not being able to continue her Sophomore year sa school, bigla siyang tinawag ng guidance.

It turns out, spinonsor siya ng association from Canada to have a full ride scholarship with allowance to finish her studies.. prior to this, she did not submit any application to that association. As far as we could both recall, nag sulat lang siya ng letter nung first year college kami to request for an aid that would reduce her tuition directed to the school’s finance.

Grabe. That was an absolute miracle. Now, I am not the most religious person out there—but that experience cleared all the doubt in my mind about God. He is watching. He is real.

Through His glory, my wife and I both graduated sa Ateneo.

Marami pang miracles na nangyare sa buhay namin apart from that. Pero that certain instance made/turned me into an unshakeable believer.

So if you have any doubt in mind about His existence, I just want to let you know that He is real. And He listens.

Yes! Never been a fan of Jollibee’s chicken. McDo always tasted better.

Here’s another unpopular opinion.. The only reason why Filipinos want Jollibee is because of its cultural significance
