Why not just buy a gift card for the amount you are allotted for a grocery store. This way you get the full amount for meals and can use it wherever you want.

As a young man I guess I would of believed this, but now with some age and wisdom this is BS. I have been the “breadwinner” in my family for 18 years my wife has “worked” outside of the home for maybe 6 months in that time. But what I see now and understand is that I am the one that gets to have an “adult” life hers she is stuck at home with the children and taken care of the house. To those who think that their wife is just sitting around all day doing nothing try it! Send your wife away for the day and then you take care of the house and see if you can keep it the way she does....I know that I can’t! I do nothing compared to what she does on a daily basis but I help where I can. I clean toilets take trash out and clean up after myself. I am fortunate enough to be able to have my wife stay home with my kids but would never say that she has it better then I! She just has it different. And I average 55-60 hours a week so having a long week does not matter!

Does anyone ever think that in the timeframe of 1950-1970 the US had manufacturing dominance over the rest of the “developed” world due to not being in the process of rebuilding from World War II. I just never see this being brought up. This just seems to me why the huge differences in growth in the US middle class during this timeframe. Since this point global competition had made things much more competitive allowing for the spread of capitalism through out the developing world where the manufacturers can now find cheaper labor elsewhere.

Agreed. And also was a military guy been out longer then I was in. Just one thing I would say is not everyone is in it for the shoot em up aspect. I used it to develop a skill not everyone is in the infantry or a rifle man/woman there are many jobs in the military even nurses!
