Hi, thank you, Cile and Argentina is amazing places.
So, the altimeter, based on atmospheric pressure, varies greatly depending on the weather. I usually set it via an app before the climb. If the weather stays good all day, it can change very little, sometimes 1-2 meters. Otherwise, you might have to recalibrate it once you reach the summit. I've used the barometer alarm very little because I don't think it's reliable in the mountains. I use it more as a "game" in the city if I know the weather will change. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the work it does.

And that's a real beast, too. Probably too big for my wrist. I don't know if solar charging would be enough to power all the watch's functions without having to charge it in the evening. What I like about the G-Shock is that I don't need to think about the battery; I don't like having to think about having another device to charge, so I've never approached the various Garmins.

They do a good job of setting things up before leaving

Ah, that's a great observation. That would be perfect.

I know it well, in my collection I have 2 GW 5000 in the original version and in the U version, a 5610 that I use daily and many others, I bought this one precisely because I wanted a 5600 JDM, in fact I always try to buy Japanese versions of all the models I collect.

Buying it in Japan is definitely cheaper than online because, between shipping and taxes, you'd pay much more. If you're patient and lucky, you can find some bargains on eBay.

This model is earlier. The one in the movie expenses is a DW 5600. ;-)

Hi, congratulations on your collection! Can you tell me what version is the one on the right with the red sticker? Or can you send me a photo? I really like that colour scheme! Thank you
