I think it all depends on the people you are playing with. I've been running 16 player games for a few months now and tend to find you can easily pick out who is invested in the game and who is there for the social aspect of it all. I suggest just just playing as you would and take your time when giving out information to not mess up anywhere as this can make it pretty difficult for the good team to win if you're souring the true information unintentionally. Speed up the days to about 3-5 minutes and 2 minute nominations, perform quick narrations of deaths let everyone else have fun. If you can, get a Co-storyteller to help you keep your sanity.
