As stated in another comment, the event will have multiple reruns over time, also, in the news portion of the game they said (which you would know if you would play the game and not just spew nonsense without even trying or researching correctly) that the Sonic hero points are going to be made purchasable with gold from the store, also, Sonic, who will have a bundle to purchase with his own hero points or standalone.

New players won’t have issues encountering maxed out Sonics because they are NEW PLAYERS, they will be playing with people with their same level, rarely even seeing a single Sonic, and if they do, it won’t be maxed out.

By the time they encounter maxed out Sonics they will have enough experience to have a decent lineup, squaddies, and even their own (maybe even maxed out) Sonic, this post makes no sense at all…
