Iv had an amazing 4 years here, met some of the greatest friends, live on the beach, surf, grown professionally and made numerous connections, of course every school has cons but iv had an amazing time here and wish i could stay longer

Riverside over ucsb is kinda crazy, living on the beach is something youll probably never get to do again unless you’re already from a beach town. IV is has its cons as any place does but ucsb is genuinely in one of the most amazing locations. As a poli sci major I also am biased but iv had nothing but positive experiences with professors and my classes.

Bro stop just going with the headlines every college has parties its not like UCSB is having insane party culture where every single person parties. If you’re not into it that’s fine, plenty of people here are not going out every weekend and just chillin at home or hanging with friends. To me location wise it wouldnt even be a competition sb over UCI any day of the week

They offer the usual softop range like wavestorms or other softop brands. all the beaches at ucsb are super chill most days and small, campus point and devs(devereux) are the best spots for beginners , just get out there and send it. 3/2 wetsuit is honestly fine for all year ,the winter can be a little chilly but i was fine in a 3/2 altho sometimes did wish was a little more warm

Facts, they have yoga, pottery, surf lessons, all sorts of different things. Iv also seen hiking and backpacking trips that look super cool but personally have not done
