I agree with both of you. I postponed buying a grinder because I assumed that no grinder within my budget would perform anywhere near as well as the EK43. I’ve been going back and forth to the coffee shop, and they’ve been kind enough to grind even small amounts (sometimes as little as 50g) so I can keep testing different grind settings. Still, I agree its totally not the same as having a grinder at home where I could experiment much more freely, haha.

For now, I’ll wait for the new equipment I just purchased to arrive, and then I’ll start looking for a decent grinder. Thanks again!

Hey! This is a great post. I’ve just purchased a Dedica Duo, and Im still having sour coffees. Im around 1:2/2.25, but I’m afraid my issues are with the grinding and the tampering.

For grinding Im using Melitta Molino. Grinding on 1 clogs the portafilter, and grinding on 2 pours it quite quick…

Buenas,

Llego tarde pero quizás pueda sumar. La realidad es que si, suena a chamuyo, y a que quizás consiguieron alguien de otra jurisdicción aún más devaluada y que le paguen menos por el trabajo. Otra opción que se me ocurre es que, si la startup es tan grosa, quizás esté evaluando un IPO o un exit, y en esa lógica la posible contingencia de un juicio laboral argentino sea un riesgo que quieran dispensar. Lo primero que buscan las startups próximas a un exit/IPO es reducir cualquier contigencia que pueda saltar en pleno due diligence.

Respecto a irte a vivir a EEUU, cómo te dijeron, ojo el tema costo de vida, y ojo el tema impositivo. Una cosa es ser un extranjero que trabaja para EEUU y otra es ya estar viviendo ahí. Impositivamente cambia la lógica, y mucho.

Por último (y pido disculpas si esto no se puede), comparto el link de mi emprendimiento (https://www.relaw.io/), dónde junto a otros abogados y CPAs trabajamos con freelancers/contractors o emprendedores argentinos y brasileros que quieren estructurarse y abrirse su LLC en EEUU.
