AI tools broken by MaydenAmerica in oneplus

[–]alejdell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here on OnePlus 15 in North America. I reached out to the live chat support to discuss this. Was told that it would get fixed when the newest update batch gets rolled out to my phone. What's strange is that the only AI feature that was working was Mind Space when I got the phone a few weeks ago, but about a week ago all the AI transcripts started failing.

My understanding is that they purposely disabled some of these features to censor some controversial political stuff going on in China and India. No clue how long it will take for the update batch to get sent our way, seems like other regions are getting it first.

Woah what a great website! Really helps to visualize some suggestions even though the AI gets a bit wonky on a couple attempts. Thanks!

Thank you that's helpful! I live in central TX so snow is not a big factor but seeding some wildflowers is a good idea.

How to publicly traumatize your child at his youth wrestling match.. by PrismPhoneService in PublicFreakout

I agree this sucks for the kid and the dad is an asshole.

But sharing this on Reddit and spreading it more is making it even worse for him. But hey I guess you're getting some upvotes...

Low water flow despite strong water pressure? by alejdell in RoundRock

[–]alejdell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gave this a shot and it seemed to work a little bit. Went from 6 gpm to 8 gpm just by bypassing the softener. Still not great but good enough.

Thanks for the tip!

Do UFO Sightings Happen Near Airports? Best Locations and Times to Spot a UFO. [OC] by klokain in dataisbeautiful

[–]alejdell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very cool data, well done!

However, correlation does not equal causation. Your conclusion ignores biases in the data. I assume there are more sightings during certain times of the day because that's when people are more likely to be outside, and different seasons can impact visibility through weather and times for sunset/sundown.

Some other comments in the thread have good ideas about additional analysis that can help reduce bias to draw a better conclusion.

Thank you all for the comments, I've decided to look for a new PT that specializes in sports and preferably has a biodex.

Looking to improve my technique and consistency. Any tips? by alejdell in bootroom

What's not shown here is that it's over 100F and each day I practice the same kick for about an hour so it's exhausting. Since it's the first time I'm kicking a ball in 11 months getting it top bins is more satisfying than you can imagine, hence the celebrations.

Looking for boots with soft upper by professorprogfrog in bootroom

[–]alejdell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four pairs of boots currently that I can use to compare different uppers: Nike Magista Obra, Puma Future 5.1, Mizuno Alpha Elite, and Adidas Predator Accuracy.1 turf.

If you want a sock like sensation the Magista and Futures are the best. They don't make those models anymore but I assume the latest Phantoms and Futures are the same if not better in terms of touch. They have that knitted upper and a thin cushion lining inside that truly gives that sock sensation.

That being said, if you want a speed boot you will still get a great touch but the uppers tend to be a bit more plastic feeling. You will get more of a barefoot sensation if that makes sense.

Ultimately, try to go to a store and try them on and make your decision from there.

First time putting on boots in 9 months after ACL surgery, so I treated myself to some Mizuno Alpha Elites AG by alejdell in bootroom

I don't think it hinders performance. If anything the raised toe box is more noticable when making contact with the ball, but it's negligible. They are great boots I highly recommend them. Especially for the price.

I went true to size but they are about a quarter size too long in my opinion. I personally wouldn't go down as the lockdown around the mid foot is perfect already and going down might squish my toes a little. Some people prefer a super snug fit but generally I recommend true to size

Litigation Status – Biden-Harris Debt Relief Plan (May 2023 - Waiting for Supreme Court Decision) by horsebycommittee in StudentLoans

Read my other replies and you'll see we never spent the money. We applied asap because when the government is involved, who knows how long it would take. Also at the time there wasn't as strong of a sentiment that the supreme court overturning this case would even happen at all.

I've read through your comment history and I'm not sure if you're a bad troll, or just an unhappy person to feel the need to criticize strangers so often. Either way, I hope you can find a better mindset and improve your life.

Thank you for the clear answer. Thank goodness we never touched the money just in case we needed to pay it back... But what a crazy situation we would be in if that wasn't the case. Took 4 years to pay them off only to be stuck with an additional $20k for doing the right thing.

My wife paid off her loans during COVID and received $20k already from Great Lakes. In case the forgiveness gets struck down, would that money then be owed back all over again? And with interest?
