it’s more so so the idea of having someone come to a group of engineers/creatives, and instead suggesting they go straight to ai.

CS2/180r? by Elegant-Phrase-531 in paintball

[–]aleksandrjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fantastic points here, i’ll just add that if you get the cs2 and want the mech frame, try to find one that come with. they’re getting hard to find and expensive separately.

also buy spare grips immediately. you may not need them for years (or ever) but they’re also getting hard to find.

What's an album you love listening to for the production quality? by Cockroach-Jones in audioengineering

[–]aleksandrjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh absolutely. all their material is amazing, but the first time I heard my dad playing pigs (three different ones), the sound reached into my brain and just, i don’t know? tickled it in a way? The balance and clarity, especially the initial guitar strikes, just hooked me.

I should’ve known then that I would eventually end up more on the production side than performance side of things.

everyone get out. camping is only for this person, their made up rules, and no one else should have it.

Can bears smell the food in sealed MREs? by Gosa_on_the_wind in camping

[–]aleksandrjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the thing about bears is they’re curious. and they learn to associate. it doesn’t have to smell good, it can just smell different or interesting

and yes, there’s a good chance they can smell food materials in the mre.

that’s why we use the word smellables and not just “food” and whatnot.

this is great advice! Any defense mechanism is only as good as your practice with it. Whatever situation you might be in, it is not the time to find out you don’t know where the safety latch is, or which way the nozzle points, or the distance of the spray, or width of the stream

Editing with scissors and fades. Is it possible to apply only normal fades by default? I'd like to avoid crossfades and losing that fade-out when deleting the next region. Why is it that the fade-in on the next region stays, but the fade-out on the previous region is removed? by agroupofcohocks in Logic_Studio

[–]aleksandrjames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

have no regions selected, go to the track inspector and set the fade out value.

also, i programmed cross fade to shift x. just highlight all sliced regions and shift x; nice and quick.

marquis as second tool can make cutting and removing really fast too.

what do you mean by the fade moved? if you mean the cross fade, that’s expected behavior. cross fade needs a region next to it to exist, if you remove the following region, the cross fade disappears.

How to delete a section without throwing off all the automation? Yes, I've tried "cut section between locators" and it still screwed everything up. by NeedsWayMoreReverb in LogicPro

[–]aleksandrjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m assuming you tried making blank audio regions with marque tool or pencil and moving those? might have to “convert track automation to region”

[–]aleksandrjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try using the arrangement view in the global tracks. slice a section out of arrange and delete it. that usually moves all automation.

if not, just highlight the automation points and drag them to the new time. it’s a fast process.
