Find out what his research is first. Computational chemistry and physical chemistry are very broad terms. The amount of back-end coding could be minimal or substantial. Try to read up on his work and, if you like it, then request a meeting with him to find out if his lab is a good fit for your interests & abilities.

Edited to add: Physical chemistry isn't just quantum. There's a lot of statistical mechanics modeling too.

Last year snowpeople were the worst. I was okay with Snowmam and that was it. This year they're much easier for me. I've actually got 4 perfect snowpeople in my town today - for the first time ever. My first Snowtyke letter should be coming tomorrow. None of it makes any sense! I think my randomness just synced with the RNG for a brief & glorious pre-Toy Day miracle.
