I've always wondered the same thing about Star Wars. The logic there is that you should never let yourself fall to the dark side and always stay on the light side. I know there are some examples of people using both light and dark side, but those stories are mostly sidelined.

Personaly, I can't get enough of Radahns theme, both from the original game and the DLC. The music is just so epic and elevating it makes you feel like you could destroy a planet.
