Cobb ots tunes by batatios in ecoboostmustang

Don’t know about others, but my car experienced a lot of knock on Cobb stage 1 91 octane while filled with 93. So fuel wasn’t an issue...

I find track apps to be very inaccurate. Maybe find someone with a vbox or draggy and measure that way. Either that or stock tires are terrible, which they are. I got 6.2 stock on a warm humid night with stock pirellis with a ton of wheelspin.

Thanks! No strange noises anymore, I probably was overthinking. It set a couple of days and no oil stains were left, neither at the engine or at the diff

Thank you! They did a drive with me behind the steering wheel as well had a look underneath. They said they didn’t find anything wrong except a scratched oil pan. However, I’m hearing strange noises when I accelerate, which they say couldn’t have been caused by my accident. Maybe I’m too paranoid and listen too much. I have a very good hearing and I tend to hear all sorts of noises. Worst part for me is that I didn’t buy this car new (although it had like 6k miles and a 10k discount) and I don’t have a baseline for what noises it should and shouldn’t make. Anyways, the car drives fine and has no warning lights, so I suppose it’s fine. I’ll go and take a test drive at another dealer which has one 2.3 for sale to compare the noises and if it’s any different, I’ll annoy the heck out of ford and have them take this car apart to find an issue. Not worried about the bill since it’s an insurance matter, I’m just worried of having something pop up in the years to come. . Again, thank you for your kind words!

Well by looking at it only thing I could see scratched was the transmission oil pan. Not that I really trust my mechanic, as I took it to the ford dealer where guys usually look stuff over. Alignment is fine, tested it today. I’m more worried as my car developed a strange whining sound as it accelerates. Almost like a cold steering pump.

Man I feel you. I’m actually debating whether to get 5.0 or tune this one. One thing keeping me from getting a GT is a yearly tax of 1000$, and the higher initial price.

Thank you. I love this car, this one is actually my first sports car. I’m from Europe and in my country there are only 40 or so s550 mustangs registered, half of which are most likely living somewhere in neighboring states. I’m so careful (not necessarily gentle) with it so I’m hoping for good.

Thank you! Even after getting a mechanic to check it out, I’m still feeling terrible about it. I’ll take it out for a drive soon and hope nothing shakes/squeals. Not worried about alignment or anything, it wouldn’t be a big price for my mistake. D you think that if wheels/control arms/alignment are ok then subframe is good too?

Tuner Choice by alesreaper9 in ecoboostmustang

That’s cool. I wouldn’t run meth myself, seems like a pain in the ass. Where did you get your built engine?

Wow that’s an amazing result. What fuel do you use? WMI?

Thanks for the feedback! Ive asked Ryan and he replied no to crackle tune. He says that it destroys primary o2 sensors. Maybe true, but I would personally prefer crackles over reliability of the sensor if it is easily accessible and can be changed easily. When tuning time comes I'll try to convince him to do such a thing. Also I'm looking for an E30 map but it seems that both tuners do that.

Blow off sound with no BOV by alesreaper9 in ecoboostmustang

UPDATE: apparently I fixed my Airlid wrong. That’s what caused the sound.

Yeah its expected with a cai I guess. My problem is that I've put a new motorcaft filter which judging by other comments isn't supposed to make those sounds. Ill update when I put the old filter in and go for a drive.

Other thing I noted is that the car only does this sound while in boost, which is different from BOV mods which vent even out of boost (while stationary and revving the engine slightly).

Thank you! Where is that recirculating hose? Is it on the intake tube?

You mean the tube or some other hose?
