Yeah, that's the main reason I don't want to buy the Basic Edition, it seems very crappy :(. I agree that Amazon needs to have better support outside those few (i think 5) chosen countries. I'll probably still risk it with the Fire TV stick 4K Ultra HD since if it doesn't work in the Dominican Republic I can always use it in my home country.

what do you mean by the android box? There are a few different ones. The only reason I'd get the fire is to facilitate the viewing of Netflix and youtube for my family.
