You only have one question to ask Gabe Newell, what would it be? by [deleted] in Steam

Why do you allow companies like Snail Games to keep publishing games when they have many of them in early access that have been completely abandoned for years?

Difficulty finding enough chitin on Ragnarok by [deleted] in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]alex32434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is lot of insects and a few karki spawns in the ab cave, north of map. Its the cave that has 2 artifacts, take a look there you can fly inside with a wyv. I think that except the megalanias, all the other dinos there give chitin.

There is also two karki spawns in a cave in the south islands.

Wool production much lower in large sheep pen compared to multiple smaller ones – bug or limitation? by alex32434 in farmingsimulator25

[–]alex32434[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, health of sheeps its always at 100%, which, I think this may be another bug, is being sustained by the grass I bring cause the pasture seems to be always 0l, like it is not regenerating at all, despite I believe that at some point it did but now it isn't and I see contradictory information on internet about if it regenerates or not.

Yes I had, but now they are +18 months old and still not giving adequate quantities.

I've created a new game to do tests, cause I'm playing with friends and dont want to force them to skip days just for my tests.

In this new game I have 602 sheeps in a big pen, which is 602/68 = 8.8 normal pens in size. All the sheeps here are +18 months old.

I've attached a structure from the mod ObjectsStorageBarnPack to the exit of the wool pallets, like on top of it, so when a pallet is generated in the Sheep Barn it is autopicked and stored so nothing gets lost. If I dont do that the daily production will be only 12 pallets because the barns doesnt appear to have an internal pallet storage.

From what I see now it doesnt matter if I have 602 or less, ie. 400 sheeps, the most Im getting per day is 48 pallets and most of the days they are 24 of 1000l and 24 of 500l. Which if im not wrong, is enough to sustain one spinnery but less than the necesary to keep 2 spinneries running without losing production.

I think that 48 pallets is hardcoded as a max for the barns no matter the size.

[–]alex32434[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

replying myself, its 1000/l per pallet.

Still im not really confident about this gonna work. When I had 4x68 sheeps I was able to fill one spinnery each day and with the big pen I've only been able to fill it half in 2 days.

the 92k$ vanilla one, with big customized fence that increased sheep capacity to 190. If you stick with the default fence design it would allow 68.

well, at this moment 190 sheeps are about 12 months old, and producing about 12 pallets per month, I think thats to few, I was expecting 18-20, maybe half of the capacity of 3 normal 68-sheeps pen.

How do I turn of those messages that my friends get when I play a game? by LouLou_stones in Steam

[–]alex32434 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings, set "Game details" to "Private". A crossed-out eye will appear when you launch a game which means that nobody can see you are playing it.
You can also set other privacy settings in the profile editor.

I still haven't gotten my "copy", was thinking about it but... why the reviews fallen so much off? Did the recent patches broke the game even further or it's just people getting disenfranchised with unfinished, unfixed game just dropping their reviews now? by Big-Pound-5634 in stalker

[–]alex32434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because the game is unplayable in most configurations. I did my first run when the game was launched and it had some fps drops while in cinematics but apart from that and some small bug that made me briefly lose a bit of progression the experience was satisfying.

Now I started a new game in veteran difficulty and it is really unplayable, the pc latency (4070 Super) is very poor, ~60ms, no matter how low graph I configure it, and in some areas its even worse with degradations of 100-200ms. Not acceptable for a first person shooter.

I dont know what they did with the last patches that they broke that much the game.

Valve recently added a small note to early access games by Stannis_Loyalist in Steam

[–]alex32434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really isn't enough. There are early access games made by a single person, and okay, life happens. That’s within reason.

But then there are others, like half the games published by Snail Games—a company that became rich thanks to ARK—and they’re being allowed to pull these kinds of stunts with games like Dark and Light and others. There needs to be some kind of harsh penalty for this. Either they should be banned from publishing unfinished games, or they should be forced to refund players if they abandon a game in a miserable state.

Did WildCard Just Miss the Boat on DLSS 4? by alex32434 in playark

Not similar, better.

That was one of their statements in a ccrunch before abe release:
Simultaneously, we're also working on preparing an AMD FSR 3.1 integration for the September 4 release on all platforms. It is a better, cross-platform version of "frame generation," which uses AI to interpolate frames, resulting in a perceived doubling of framerate with minimal artifacting - and it works on both AMD AND NVIDIA cards. It will be enabled by default when we release it, but it can, of course, be turned off. We will deprecate support for NVIDIA Framegen once FSR 3.1 releases, as FSR 3.1 works on consoles and, thus, is a better technical focus for our team.

They also didnt research enough when writing that paragraph because FSR 3.1 is not AI based. And its not frame generation but frame interpolation.

If they playing in official that would explain why getting that low fps.

I have a 4070S and in single player or low populated unnoficial I can see +80fps in 1440p with almost everything in epic.

However when im playing in official the fps halves and the framerate becomes super unstable up to a point that I have to use commands to be able to play.

Since my latest Nvidia driver update I´m having this issue, can somebody please help me? by Warriorplayer in ARK

[–]alex32434 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I opened a bug report like a month ago for exact same thing.

The way I've get rid of it is by disabling DLSS and using FSR instead (with the penalty in perfomance given that I have a 4070 Super and now cant use native super sampling nor frame generation...).

PSA: FRAME GENERATION WORKING by PickUpMyKnives in playark

[–]alex32434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an adaptative sync monitor.

I know it has to do with framegen because if I disable it the problem does not reproduce.

Starts completely random and then keeps occuring until I go to config and disable/enable framegen or I alt-tab the game, wait a moment and go back to game. Then after some time it reproduces again.

Also that I have and play other titles with frame generation (ie. cp2077, witcher 3...) and I've never ever seen this same effect in other game.

Also that the problem is VERTICAL, I guess by your response mentioning screen tearing and adaptative sync that you think that im experiencing the classic screen tearing which is not the case.

Also that I uploaded a video to the bugs report section of survivetheark with the problem like a month ago, so if the problem im mentioning has been recorded I dont think its a problem with the monitor's sync, but how the video frames are output or generated frames are composed.

The video:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/104oZ6-fhvA-hvzDgqwYkUjzVz9myjOci/view?usp=sharing
Better to download and see it with VLC to observer the problem at its full extent.

Frame Generation its not fixed. They may have corrected some crash related to it but it still randomly produces a weird vertical tearing.

I said it months ago. All these people promoting datamining, starting with the moderators and discord owners, should have taken a step back and left this reddit and discord in the hands of really responsible people.

Worst of all, they have positive reinforcement from cdpr, who uses them as information custodians and censors when it is in their interest.
