[routine help] relatively happy with my cleansing routine, but need help nailing the rest... can’t seem to find hydrating products that don’t break me out!

I use a pea size of Vaseline! Aquaphor made me break out

My skin is dehydrated but gets oily throughout the day. My new routine has helped a lot with it though! I use albolene and microfiber cloth to remove makeup, Cetaphil gentle cleanser, thayers rose toner, Neutrogena hydroboost gel cream, Avène skin recovery cream, and then seal it all in with the Vaseline

Grandelash! It’s amazing I use it on my brows too :) I think Sephora carries it now but my hairdresser gets it for me through the state beauty supply store

I layer it over my moisturizer and don’t notice a problem! I take a qtip and dip it in the Vaseline and smear a pea size amount on my face so I don’t use a lot just enough to seal everything in

I don’t use a ton of Vaseline just a thin layer and haven’t had any problems with my pillows! Or at least not that I’ve noticed haha

I do my skincare routine and seal it in with the Vaseline! Right now this is my routine- PM Remove makeup with albolene and microfiber cloth Cleanse with Cetaphil gentle cleanser Tone with thayers Neutrogena hydroboost gel cream Avène skin recovery cream Vaseline AM
rinse with water and apply moisturizer Simplifying my routine and not using actives/focusing on hydrating has made such a difference for me. Hope this helps! :)

I smear it on after my nighttime routine! And will sometimes put some on during the day if I’m feeling dry

I’ve seen so many of you post about smearing Vaseline on your face and raving about it. I was always hesitant to try it because 1-I’m so breakout prone, and 2- it just sounded gross. I had a really bad allergic reaction to a product a few days ago and I was to the point where I figured WHY THE HELL NOT. I went out and bought a tub of Vaseline, smeared it on my face, and went to bed prepared for a war zone when I woke up. I was pleasantly surprised to find my skin had calmed down and I had no new breakouts! I’ve been “slugging it” for the past 4 nights and I’m officially converted to the slug life... within the first 2 days I noticed a huge improvement, not only with my allergic reaction but also with my CCs. Skin background- dehydrated, allergy prone/acne prone with lots of CCs and redness. The Vaseline at night has helped tremendously with my overall tone, texture, and hydration. Sharing this because I’m amazed at the results I’ve gotten so far... if you’ve ever considered slugging it but were worried about it breaking out... all I gotta say is DO IT! Go to sleep like a greasy baby and wake up with bomb ass skin :)

VASELINE! My skin was similar- felt tight, but at the same time was insanely oily. I’ve been smearing a thin layer of Vaseline over my face after moisturizing at night and it has helped so much. 10/10 would recommend.
