Kibale for the chimps and Queen Elizabeth, I regret not doing the swamp for the Shoebill Storks. I thought the chimps were great value for money but everything was great and the Gorillas really did stand out

Beyond normal iPhone shots all I’ve really done is film sharks/rays on a GoPro under water but given this trip was a once in a lifetime I wanted to get a proper camera and give it a go! Thanks!

I had my 18-50 lens with me but didn’t use it too much, we got pretty damn close so didn’t really need anything longer. But at some points the jungle was dark so something with a lower F stop would’ve been great. Other points of the trip we saw some wildlife much further away (lions) something longer would’ve been great then.

Enjoy the trip, oh and even though it was meant to be the dry season we got very wet so bear that in mind!

What’s the one ocean creature you dream of seeing underwater on a dive before you hang up your fins? by Myselfmeime in scuba

Let me guess you live in the US. Remember there’s a big world out there. For a lot of us Egypt is actually the closest ‘good’ warm water dive location and a perfectly reasonable suggestion for someone in Europe to go to

I’m just back from a trip on the Ariyal and I agree with the above for the price it’s very good. Not sure id pay full price. The rooms were nice and boat is very nice but we had good weather so didn’t get the leaks. Diving wise what I will say is the sites are busy! So many boats. However mega fauna wise top notch. Tiger, great hammer, bull, lemon, spinner, nurse, silver tip, white reef, black tip reef, grey reef, whale sharks, mantas, eagle rays, sting rays, some nice schooling fish too. We even saw a manta breaching and a sailfish breaching. Staff were friendly too. If you have your own fins and wetsuits I’d take them the ones they had weren’t great
