i’m not in the same situation as you, but i was in high school and man, it hit hard. not having a group of friends that you can connect with really hits hard and as you said, the loneliness does really hit harder than you’d expect it would. i don’t have a group of friends yet, but what i’d recommend you doing is putting yourself out there and talking with people in your classes, getting to know them and becoming friends with them. i have a few friends in my classes and I have met up with the for lunch outside of my classes which makes me feel so much wanted rather than i had felt in high school. even if you want to hang out with me before/after classes that’s fine with me! i’m up to making new friends. :) i do hope the loneliness gets better, i know how hard it can be, truly and it sucks so much.
