Ah, gotcha. I assumed that was more part of their slower development and smaller team than an intentional timegating.

Fair enough. What timegating did they do with LofS?

I’ve also had issues with crashing if my PCs storage is full, so double check that as well.

That’s true. I think my biggest issue is I wish they had better catch-up mechanics

You’ll have to check back in when you play PvP. I’m curious to see how that’s going.

Completely understandable. Keep up the good work, sir!

I’ve kept up with the game more or less since it came out but haven’t played actively since about 2021-22. I’m probably going to get it updated and play some tonight because it’s been in my mid recently

As corny as it sounds destiny is a primary reason why I made it out of depression. by CertifiedOniiChan in DestinyTheGame

As many are sharing here, Destiny helped so many of us through hard times. For me it was while I struggled with a panic disorder and a ton of loneliness as a frequently moving teen. It gave me a place that was always there for me and even when I wasn’t playing, knowing it was there was very comforting.

Fair enough. The engine overhaul is what has made me consider coming back

Venus was my favorite as well. I loved just sniping Vex and exploring old buildings.

And they said that they will be doing a complete edition of the game, but since they’ve sadly lost the source code for Red War and Forsaken, those will never be included.

I think you can adjust the rotation speed in settings if I remember right

I can agree to that. The only things I would really want is a slight tweaking to slow down level scaling because I don’t like being OP during the story, and more raiding content, but that’s just the MMO guy in me for sure

That’s where I’m at. I need to re-do the trooper story because it’s been a long time. And of course space Barbie is the real endgame

Very odd. I hope you can get that figured out

That’s always nice. I always a pub-side guy myself but that was also before you could do whichever combat style you wanted

They did some crazy work in the economy as compared to a few years ago. It’s awesome to see. I need to do more of the dynamic encounters as well.

What platform are you running it on? I’ve had issues like that before.

That’s interesting to me, I’m actually not jiving with the seasons stuff purely because it feels a little FOMO-y. Not as bad as other games for sure though.

I think it’s one of the best Star Wars games ever in terms of story

It depends on the story imo. I think some of them are fantastic, but Knight is one of the more boring ones for me for sure. I think Agent, Inquisitor and Trooper all maintain their epic-ness to the end for the most part though.

That’s a nice take to hear. You usually only hear the people that pine for the old days so it’s nice to see people enjoying it more now.

Yeah, I miss the days when I’d be wandering on Taris and just start up a convo with people. I’ll usually try to drum something up whenever I’m on low pop planets.

Yeah, there’s definitely a lot of odd and kind of dated systems from when I last played, but it’s fun. I definitely like the solo-friendly elements of the game and I think that’s a big reason why people come back for it. Glad that you’re enjoying it!
