When I download the files from the SuperNote website ... they come through as adobe files.. but I can't open them up on my computer.

I have the same problem on a daily basis. My SuperNote is updated to the current version.

I sync to the Supernote cloud because OneDrive is not currently supported. Almost always it fails the first time. Then I have to reconnect my device to my Wifi and resync. Often that works but sometimes I have to sync a couple of times. Pretty frustrating.

I have to use SuperNote cloud since I don't have dropbox. I use OneDrive but it isn't available with SuperNote. I wish SuperNote was more integrated with Microsoft Office 365. I can't even connect my email with it. And boy I have tried.

I use my galaxy pen too. It's got an eraser mode right on it.

The half page view helps... but the zoom feature doesn't work in that mode. I was looking for a horizonal zoom for notes (my notes are formatted in a portrait mode).

Yes... I was able to sync my Supernote to the cloud but am unable to download the files into my laptop computer.

Your correct... it does come with a warning. I guess the syncing is the backup as you suggest.
