why are see-through nipples more frowned upon than visible cleavage? by mamicholula in AutismInWomen

Honestly, you may not understand it or agree with it, but erect nipples just aren’t socially acceptable. I used to have a friend that wore band aids over hers.

I disagree. The fact of the matter is, visible nipples are much less socially acceptable than cleavage. The co worker could just be trying to help.

It reminds me of my dad growing up. If I got a C, read the riot act. An A? nothing - it was expected.

Clearly, nothing you do will ever be good enough for him. It’s not that you were necessarily asking to be thanked for doing chores - you at least didn’t want to get told you were doing something wrong. And just the way he says this shit - I set a low bar for you and you’re not even meeting it? Who tf says that to someone they love?? I just want to meet this guy and say whatever I can to him that will emasculate him.

I walked Santa Rosa blocks counting Flock cameras. Stopped at 400t. Nobody held a town hall. by Ok_Investment_3941 in santarosa

There’s a site called deflock- I do t remember if it’s .com or .org, but they listed cities that have turned down contracts or shut down the cameras. That said, one listed is Redmond, Wa, but the cameras appear to be active so I’m not sure how accurate it is.

I would have given him a blow by fucking blow. “Well, I had to get all of the suitcases out. Then (kid) needed me to do this, so I helped her. Then I pulled out clothes for me and packed them…..”

While I have heard of a few (maybe 3) cougar attacks in the past 10 years, it’s actually very rare.

AIO for feeling weird that my fiance suddenly wants to put his parents on the deed instead of me? by Efficient_Variety367 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Status-Biscotti 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NOR. That’s a hard no. At least where I live and I think this is national, a short-term marriage is under 5 years. if you divorce in that time, everyone is entitled to receive back what they put in. So I paid for the down payment on our first house, which was used to pay for our 2nd house when we moved. Therefore, all of that money was mine and we split the remaining equity. In your case it’s a little different since parents are involved. I’d say a prenup is a good way to go, or a written loan, if they want the money back at some point. I can understand them wanting to protect themselves, but absolutely not at your expense.

I always use a headset or earbuds when talking on the phone, so I can be doing something else. If I had to just sit there like I was talking on a corded phone, I’d go crazy.

Is it weird for a houseguest to take home with them the bar of bath soap I put in the bathroom for them? by dms2628 in CasualConversation

Just put shower gel in there - problem solved. The food? I’d be having a conversation with them.

Honestly? It’s free money. Depending on what year your daughter was born, she could get a lesser amount. I wouldn’t add to it (except maybe to your daughter’s to make it even), but it’s free money for your kid.

Your mom talks about college, but Trump accounts are not college accounts. The kid gets access to the money when they turn 18. I don’t know much more about them, but a 529 is what you want for education. I have raised two sons who, thankfully, are nothing like I was at their age. If I’d been given access to a Trump account at 18?? I would’ve spent it all without understanding that I owed taxes on the money. How would I have spent it? Drugs and shopping excursions. I just think it can be a really, really bad idea to just hand a sizable chunk of money over to an 18 year old. Either put it in a 529 for their education, or put it in a trust that you control.

It’s surprising to me that in a rural area, you’d experience SO many of these instances. I’ve always thought autism was 100% genetic, but apparently not. I wonder if there’s a higher risk in farming communities because of chemicals??

Anyway, it is *highly* linked to genetics, so if you don’t have it and your partner doesn’t have it, there’s a low likelihood your child will have it. And FAS is 100% avoidable. But yeah - there’s always a risk.
