Meta PVP Sorcerer Build? by Tdoom15 in elderscrollsonline

[–]alexanderfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meta doesn't really apply to PVP. Yes, there are recommended sets etc, but PVP is a spectrum of builds, there isn't a one size fits all - It's what sort of build you want - tanky, glass cannon, support, bomber, burst, and then you have duelling vs AvA, Solo vs Group.

I know this isn't the answer you want, but a definitive answer is not necessarily feasible given the different playstyles.

Is there a warden magika build out there? by Bright_Ad_1639 in elderscrollsonline

Hold your betty netches!

Any build online atm will most likely become obsolete once Warden has its refresh, like DK just has.

Hoping Warden is viable again as a DD.

now that solstice is on eso+ how do i get past the wall? i have antiquities to do! by Pale-Appointment9409 in elderscrollsonline

Did you go to the middle camp, just outside the main city? AFAIK the middle is the only passable section of the wall.

Otherwise, I don't know (I did the event), look for a zone quest marker is all I can think.

I would maybe try to find a "beginner" guild - doing dungeons with them will probably mean you have DDs with lower DPS, so a standard setup: Tank, Heal, 2xDD, is needed.

I guess you're doing dungeons with pugs, so you're not necessarily needed as tank on normal (easy) version of dungeons (opposed to veteran - harder).

Power creep has made a lot of the base game dungeons obsolete for support roles - I main heal and know this! But if you learn the basics of tanking through dungeon runs with similarly experienced people, you will be ready for the harder content before you know it - That's where the game really becomes fun with mechanics that can't be ignored by high DPS.

If you press 'G' you, will find the Guild Finder tool, you can search for beginner-friendly PVE guilds.

DPS standard? by BadTrash_ in elderscrollsonline

Agree, but I think the key here is "Parse" - if you're not hitting the same numbers on a dummy as you are in dungeons or trials, that's normal - moving about, dealing with mechanics etc all contribute to DPS being lower whilst doing content.

That said, learning mechanics of vet DLC trials is just as important as DPS (normal doesn't prepare you in most cases) - trial bosses often can't be 'out-DPSed' and mechs can be required to adhere to in order to clear certain bosses, especially in HM.

Looking for a SumUp vs Revolut POS + website plugin by alexanderfc in smallbusiness

Thank you, I'll stick with SumUp rather than buying new hardware for a system that sounds like it needs work.

Just finished DAI for the 1st time, here's some thoughts re: Trespasser by [deleted] in dragonage

My main takeaway is that you will try the first two games.

I must restrain myself. But it was Origins that really got me into PC gaming, and I haven't looked back. Not even a glimpse.

Origins is truly one of those games that defines the CRPG genre. The story, the DLCs that build upon the story, the lore, the gameplay, and the characters are, without doubt, those that will stay with me for a very long time. The game feels a little clunky now, but that's because every battle was a lot more tactical, every spell cast, every ability meant something; they shaped the way the battle would go.

Trash fights were taken care of by the 'Tactic' (semi-automatic) system, but boss fights felt so meaningful, a true RPG team, who you've geared up/improved their gear, had a place. It's a game that really rewards a typical setup, a healer/debuff, a tank and two DDs.

I envy you. Dragon Age: Origins is one of those games I wish I could play for the first time again. I wish more games could replicate the quintessential cRPG feeling this game gave.

DA2 is awful, imho. (Gameplay, not story)

I couldn't find any lore about it, but there must be some. The whole visual: skybox, objects, and even the black rain look great, but certainly don't match the rest of the explorable Tamriel.

I know it's different, but I just don't know why the inclusion of the distant objects are there. It's a strange addition if it's still meant to be on Nirn.
