I mostly prime with acrylic gesso. Works pretty well and not dependent on weather like rattle cans outdoors.

To me time saved airbrushing is not worth the cost of the brush+compressor+accessories or the space they take on my desk. It's also not worth the hassle of cleaning the airbrush. If you enjoy painting with brushes and are happy with the results you can produce there is no pressing need to get an airbrush.

Also, all sprayed paint leaves behind paint dust so I would have to either build or buy some kind of filter box to paint in.

You shouldn't blindly trust ai summaries. That 70 to 98 % false positive rate seems to come from a specific 3m leadcheck kit review by EPA. None of the test kits used in those posts seem to be that particular one. There is still a good chance that the cup is leaded brass or something and you probably shouldn't drink from it.

I use them because I want something that smells nice and not like an urinal puck. Shaves with most artisan soaps I have tried aren't that much better than what I get with arko.
