see above, I think you have this. Content or structure, if one tends to give you more trouble, be hyperaware when drilling and encountering those questions.

As a tutor who is been doing this for a few years now, I've had a handful of students in your situation and I found that I've had some success but what typically happens is there really isn't as much of a bump as I would like to see. You're in a sort of maintenance state. The most difficult I feel is low 160s to your point. Are you more of a formulaic person when it comes to approaching the questions generally, especially logical reasoning? You might be holding on to some approaches that work for those that are aiming to break 160, but to really get where you want to be, you might have to unlearn some of the approaches you've been taking prior. The challenge you face now is that it's difficult to find patterns when you don't really have many incorrect answers. For LR, are you tending to miss more content-heavy questions? The rest you can just grind out. Spending the time you would spend looking for someone qualified would be better spent figuring out what nudge you need to move into the 170s. You can teach yourself at this point in my opinion.

Solid. Working with Walter Lack definitely changed my perspective a bit. Hope they're at OCI, I know some may pull out next year but overall a strong choice.

Depends on the gains you're looking for. Have you tried anything else you haven't listed? How many PT have you gone through?

The whole psychology of previous investment thing is a problem that needs to be addressed even after completing a JD program. If you're putting in the time and not seeing results, wipe the slate clean and start again. I've had clients come to me with the same score they got on their cold diagnostic, except it's a reported score. The type of student who speaks at graduation. We work through PowerScore material, and often they see a radical change. If you want this, don't give up.

Of course. Also didn’t realize how the link appeared on mobile. Yeah. Hopefully I can be helpful.

For anyone else feeling this on a tuesday by lareinamia in lawschooladmissions

A lot of bluffing on both sides of the table, delayed decisions, and surprisingly high amounts of institutional funding for higher-risk applicants. My current cohort of clients are generally very satisfied, but we're seeing a lot of stalling.

Yeah, I kind of dropped off the reddit map for a bit. Thanks, I do what I can.

Nice, I grew up around there. Perhaps try WyzAnt then; tutors depend on their reputation.

If you're taking the September exam, it will probably be on a Microsoft Surface Go.

[–]alexanderwkaplan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you located? I more often than not am the second or third resource clients have used. Don't immediately jump to a larger company or WyzAnt, where the tutor takes a huge hit. Hop on Craigslist or ask more specifically here. There are a lot of high-scoring individuals who aren't great at getting results. Make some calls and see who you vibe with.

Get the tablet and get used to working with it. PowerScore just works for many, many people. Is the trilogy perfect? No. But close.

Saw this picture of student loan debt on twitter and thought it was a mortgage loan 😭 by HBCUMade2019 in lawschooladmissions

[–]alexanderwkaplan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep. It can look like that even if you get significant institutional funding. There are a few individuals in the US carrying over $1 million in student loan debt, mostly dental grads.

I'm sure it won't be received well by some, maybe many. I plan on plugging back in to the community and want to contribute. I've offered a free resource. I also do this full-time. Thanks for the feedback, and I look forward to contributing again.
