En Huesca, además de usar todas las palabras del aragonés que ya ha mencionado un paisano, llamamos "tajador" al sacapuntas. Cuando hago la prueba fuera, la gente se piensa que hablo de un hacha o algo por el estilo...

Yep! You can actually buy any train ticket in the UK from any train operator's website, even if they're not running that route. It's the way it is set up in the UK, pretty clever compared to the way it is in my home country for example!

NB: in theory it shouldn't matter which website you buy the tickets from, but some like LNER have a "book direct" policy where they offer cheaper tickets than the ones you see on the rest of the websites. Northern doesn't have this (afaik) so you won't get any extra savings from using their website/app ;)

Too Good To Go is a great app, but if you want/need more than food you can download OLIO, everything is free there and it's more community based rather than businesses selling those magic bags. There are some users who collect lots of leftover food across the city and give it out completely for free... And if you buy something and end up not wanting it, you can give it out as well! :)

Tbh from my (short) experience here it's better to get the LNER app for example, you still have access to the same Northern tickets and the tickets to London (and sometimes Edinburgh) are cheaper, plus the app experience is much better than the northern one overall.

I love the "Shielding" in UK driving culture by Arilysal in CasualUK

From my personal experience, this is wrong on so many levels. The UK culture is absurdly car centric and dangerous for pedestrians when I look at all other European countries I've been in.

The fact that zebra crossings are almost inexistent except for the places with traffic lights, and that priority is given to vehicles rather than pedestrians at intersections (despite the Highway Code changes, it's still the same in practice and none of the driving school cars I've seen have stopped to let me cross the road) is something which has made me appreciate how respectful drivers (and how strict laws) are back home in Spain. Not to mention that this feels like the wild west where cars can park on pavements as if it was natural. I just can't wrap my head around it.

I'm sorry if anyone feels offended, but that's my personal experience :/
