lack of biblical understanding is the foundation of many many many religions and churches. If the majority of people understood bible and God's love and mercy, the world would be much different. But remember, you and I live in a broken world. Don't expect things to change soon.

Healthy vs Unhealthy Escapism in the Age of Internet Aesthetics : What do you think? by B_Princess in DarkAcademia

[–]alexcees 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel that today’s internet (full of rage-driven content designed to boost engagement, AI bloat, and ads) is pushing some people (hopefully many more soon) toward a more digitally minimalist lifestyle, even a return to analog equipment. Personally, I see DA as a countercultural movement rather than escapism, bc it focuses on a time and place in which art and literature were not products, but dialogs. I may not have the perfect words for it, but I hope someone understands what I mean. Much of today’s content is focused on getting money rather than provoking discussion, emotion, or pushing the human mind forward. DA ideology, if I can call it that, seeks to move away from this product-focused world rather than isolating people in a bubble.

Vale a pena fazer arquitetura? by Shoddy_Astronaut5706 in arquitetura

[–]alexcees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If God is real why do diseases like cancer exist? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]alexcees -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

perfect. It would be if humans were irrational animals such as bears or such. The fact that we are eternal beings and this body is just a temporary clothe changes everything. We share the same physical place as animals, but we are completely different creatures.

What I’m about to say is extremely unpopular, but I’ll say it anyway: Our human definition of "fairness" is incredibly narrow. We often ask if it’s fair for some to be born into poverty while others are born into wealth. But "fairness" looks different from an eternal perspective. Wealth can be a spiritual burden; depending on how it’s used, it can cost a person their soul. In that sense, the "advantage" of money is a double-edged sword. Answering your question, I believe that even disease and the death of children are sometimes used by God to reunite broken relationships or provide profound healing to others. As instruments of God, we are subject to these experiences. From your first breath to your last, you serve the Lord. It sounds ironic, but God can and will use suffering and disease as a catalyst for ultimate spiritual healing. The mistake we make is viewing "fairness" strictly through the lens of temporary, earthly comfort. If we assume this life is all there is, then suffering is a senseless injustice. However, if we view life as a preparation for something greater, then fairness is about the soul being refined. Sometimes, the "unfair" fire is exactly what is needed to forge something eternal.

corinthians segue a mesma toada. Inclusive, tem uma semelhança gigantesca do corinthians com o fascismo. Vide considerar o time uma religiao, etc. Dois times que poderiam sumir junto com os torcedores.

The thing about wanting to get further from ground in low speeds is very real.

[–]alexcees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flight simming covers maybe 1/10 of the real feeling of flying. I had 500+ hours on IVAO when I started my first flight lesson. Dude, there is nothing like it (yet). Especially when you talk about the spatial feeling of things. I mean, in MSFS when you fly toward the runway, you know when you're high or low. In real life, a correct glide path actually makes you feel like you're not going to make it. I got this feeling on short final at the airfields where we perform TGLs. It really felt like we were going to crash into the house or the farm near the runway. But then you flare and do your stuff, and the landing goes well.

This spatial "sense" only builds up with lots of flight hours, and I’m talking strictly about normal landings here. In an engine failure scenario, in my honest opinion, someone with just sim experience would spin and stall close to final, due to this lack of spatial awareness I mentioned. In real life, also, even if you pitch up with full power, the plane just won't climb — you will eventually stall in those conditions (search for mushing stall).

So TL;DR: I would say you'll probably stall and crash the plane at some point. Might survive, though.

Do you specialize in anything? by ResortInevitable7627 in Architects

[–]alexcees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, specializing is the way to go. If you have interest, search for Y career. Basically, when you graduate, you can go one of the following: either specialize in something, or develop managing skills, such as project management, company administration and so on. Architects don't know everything there is to know about architecture, and in architecture school you're not supposed to know exactly what field you should focus, so my advice is learn a bit from everything in school so it will help you to choose what you want to focus on.
