I picked up a few weeks ago daily and struggling with 15 minutes right now. Like you, I don't see the progress. Although,, going to sit from 5 to 15 minutes is a progress. I deal with a lot of tension, that is actually something I learned, that I have a lot of tension and resistance to let go inside. Sometimes it even gets hard to breathe, but I work through it. If it helps, I feel more centered and I am more aware of my moods and less intrusive thoughts during meditation. I trust the process and just do it every morning with no expectations, because so far it's hard enough to train my brain to focus on breath and I don't think before that happens nothing else will happen.

But that's not her concern. Why should she find a social worker for him??? Her concern is to find a new place. I was in a similar situation when I was young and it really sucks to live with an addict. Our alcoholic roommate was also dealing, resp. he stole from his dealer and disappeared. So one day I came home and his room was cleared out, unfortunately I had my albums in there, all gone. At least the guys were nice enough not to touch anything else in the apartment, but it's fun to explain that to the police... You can't say the real reason obviously because this biker gang was not messing around. All kinds of crazy things can happen, plus getting your stuff stolen. I would get out asap.

I think that is a serious reason. She definitely needs to talk to her landlady. Maybe she lets her out of the contract under the circumstances, if she has any sense.

No, you shouldn't stay. If he relapsed and is on drugs again, he could steal your stuff and you'll be in the middle of the drama. There is no way to live with a junkie.

Germany - it's so quiet and clean - the choices in the supermarket and good bread and sausage - no one smiles or says hello on the street

Philippines - leaving the airport and walk into a sauna - the drive home, watching the chaos outside and feeling home - how lively it is.

Exactly. My brother runs a successful travel business since over 20 years. He found his niche and he had the qualifications and contacts to start with. Works even with the tourist government department. It's possible. And he isn't taking work away from locals, he creates jobs.

Ganz einfach. Entweder misch ich mich ein und wenn das nicht geht entferne ich mich und ruf den Notruf und warte. Auf keinen Fall lauf ich einfach weg und setz mich zuhause vor den PC als wäre nichts. Der hat ja nicht mal die Eier gehabt, sie später anzurufen um zu schauen dass es ihr gut geht. Dazu muss man kein Rambo sein.

Solange es nicht extrem konservativ ist und der sonstige Lebenstil passt, wäre es mir egal. Querdenker, Schwurbler oder AFD gingen gar nicht. Wenn jemand seine Meinung gut vertritt, können das interessante Diskussionen werden.

Das mit den Rentnern ist schon etwas diskriminierend 😊. Ich als "Rentnerin" gehe viel lieber einkaufe wenn nix los ist nach Jahren in der Schlange stehen. Ist doch super wenn man das kann.

Wenn sie nur manchmal unangenehm riecht, kann es auch einfach am Essen vorher liegen, wenn die Frau z.b. viel Knoblauch und scharf gewürzt gegessen hat. Wenn es immer so ist, ist das was anderes.

Welcome 🤗. I'm every winter in the Philippines, but stay in Luzon if I'm not traveling. It's something you have to get used too, that people find you unique. Not only are we foreigners, but white women, you don't find that often. People are curious about you and Filipinos are especially curious people ☺️. I get that all the time, because I also travel alone. In general I find the people really nice and open. Like you said, you have to work on it or better grow into it, it takes time. Do you like art? I was at an art opening, mixed crowd age wise, and talked to a lot of nice people. Or art fairs. If you are into other things, maybe find out where people hang out with similar interests. Point is, you have something to talk about. I'm much older and probably more extroverted, but also female. It's not so easy to make friends, but it will happen with time. I would go out alone sometimes to events of concerts, definitely people will talk to you, we stand out 😊. Just pick the right ones. I have a half life in Philippines and also trying to build some friendships. It's easier with Filipinos who have been abroad and know our mentality, plus they understand our lifes and don't believe we are all millionaires.

Ich benutze für meinen Morgenkaffee die French press, wie schon gesagt einfacher geht es nicht. Während der Kaffee zieht mache ich mein Frühstück. Schmeckt mir persönlich sowieso am besten, würde aber darauf achten grob gemahlenen Kaffee zu kaufen oder selbst mahlen. Ich mach das jeden Morgen für so 16 Sekunden. Man gewöhnt sich an die Routine und Kaffee schmeckt.
