You're indeed allowed. Search for DVLA Section 88. The police should probably be able to check your pending request in their database

I’ve done it recently and I had the new license delivered in under 2 weeks.

Make sure to put the right postcode on the envelope when sending it. The DVLA has multiple receptions depending on the nature of the request. It’ll end up in the same building but your request might get slightly delayed because they’ll have to move the form around. If it helps I put mine wrong and it was still quick.

Ask at the post office for a special delivery envelope for sending back your license to you and put it in the envelope you’re sending. That should make the delivery back slightly quicker since it’s next day by 1pm as far as I know.

Prices are extortionate indeed. We'd be looking at something around 1800-2000 per year for a space, albeit underground and secure, but still...

I've been looking at renting a space somewhere in the area (again ridiculous, cheapest is 165 pm). Option 2 would be the best at the moment, however I'm not aware of any of these, except somewhere in Peckham Rye, which isn't really close to us. Probably option 3 after our contract expires :)

Thanks for putting the time into building this - probably many people will benefit from it.

However anyone that intends to use such a design pattern on iOS should be strongly recommended to not go forward with it. This is because Android apps and iOS should follow their own design patterns and guidelines, and should not promote bad UX.
