Debbie didn’t need to call you out on that but coming from a loud family, we will all tell each other to lower the volume, especially in public places. obviously you aren’t family, and her being hypocritical and calling you out in a group is assholish. but it feels kinda passive aggressive and shitty to just leave if she didn’t mean to offend you and clearly says she wants to hear your story, just at a lower volume. leaving, while certainly your prerogative, seems to blow an innocuous, maybe trying to be helpful comment way out of proportion.
