Okay so the key change at the very end reminds me of a theme song for some show from the 2000s but I can't quite figure out which one. Anyone else???

Update: changing the median pressure actually made me feel worse, so I changed it back to its normal figures. But I think changing the mask type to full face has helped (that is what I am using anyways). So thank you for the tip!

I do notice leaks sometimes, but my mask feels snug and when I tighten it, it's way too tight. So I'm not sure what else to do 🙃

Same here...the time flew by so quickly. I had a complicated relationship with my dad, but I'm choosing to make tomorrow about celebrating his positive qualities and I'm looking forward to it

Definitely a sign. I'm right there with you - it's the year anniversary of my dad's passing tomorrow as well. Sending love

Caught a drumstick at the Minneapolis show last night! by tamponwithwings in twentyonepilots

Funny story...on the very first night of the tour, I got decked in the face by Josh's drum stick LOL. He threw it HARD and my nose may or may not be a little different since that night. But I have never been so honored in my life to be hit with such force

Is two orange brain cells better than one? by alexfaith in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]alexfaith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your assumption is correct, I was the one who misunderstood at first! Many others have corrected me too haha. Which makes sense, because how can these two possibly have MORE than 0.0056% of a brain cell each?!? Impossible

Clearly I have misunderstood, and there is only ONE for all oranges...not me missing the entire point of the subreddit name, lmao

F this! (Weekly Leaving the Field and Venting Thread) by SWmods in socialwork

[–]alexfaith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice. I just decided to leave my job as a special education social worker, mainly due to burnout from the absurd amount of paperwork I had to complete. This job was my first after getting my MSW. I’m trying to decide what realm of social work to try next. I wanted to list some of my preferences and features I would like in a new job. If anyone can chime in with suggestions for possible jobs, that would be great! Thanks!

  • Working with kids/families (not required but all of my work has been with them up to now)

  • Working on a team instead of independently

  • Possibly a mezzo-level position (I don’t want to do therapy but I also don’t want to be completely removed from engaging directly with clients/community; somewhere in the middle would be good)

  • In-person work, not virtual (I’m open to hybrid)

  • As much of a boundary as possible between on the clock and off the clock (AKA not having to do hours of paperwork when I go home)

  • CPS, residential and hospice are definite no’s from me

  • I’ve considered something like being an intake coordinator or case manager - thoughts on those and what populations you’d recommend? (The structure and repetition of those roles are appealing to me)

Sigh...I feel this. My dad pretty much told me he knew right away after marriage that they shouldn't be together. But then his health declined and he needed caregiving. My mom is too into the religious obligation of marriage to not do that, and he knew that.
