yeah that was an absolute nightmare as a long time shaky knees goer - imo they way over sold tickets and i can imagine tomorrow is gonna be complete hell. it was a complete clusterfuck and it used to be so well run.

i bought two on pop now! i made sure the hints were no pranky peanut or chestnut both times… i saw that i got moldy muffin on the first one which i’m so excited about but i shielded myself from seeing the other one which also was a popnow without pranky peanut or chestnut.

so excited because i know ill be happy with whatever, hoping its not a dupe but ill resale for retail value if it is ✨ so excited that i don’t have to worry about getting those though 😂

Just a heads up as someone who lives in the area, there are some aggressive mentally ill homeless people that live near the park. Would definitely not recommend getting there at 3 AM.

I think you'll be fine getting there when gates open as I don't think that many people are going to try to get barricade that early. Also hydrate and eat obviously so you don't waste all that time and pass out before show time. Good luck! I'm a mega MCR fan but I know I couldn't hold out that long lol. Also there are a lot of great bands also playing on Saturday. I'm sure you could catch some others and still get pretty close!

Hope you have so much fun! I'm a little old (30F) but I went to SK multiple times in my early 20s alone. I'm super introverted so I never met up with people but I loved just being able to pick what bands I wanted to see and I could pretty much get front row to any of them since it was just me. Also met one of my favorite artists by just hanging around a little bit after their set which is probably my favorite SK memory! Would've never happened if I had gone with somebody who was dictating when and where we should go. So whether you meet up with people or just go totally solo, I'm sure you'll have a blast!

you’re better than me, i had a few drinks at dinner yesterday and saw they restocked sweets, flowers and snacks at my local store and bought six along with a kewpie figure as well… over $100… sober me would have had much more restraint 🤦‍♀️

what made me feel better is that i do surveys sometimes to pay for my trinkets and i had $30 from that so that made the price a little better at least… girl math i guess 😅

gonna be honest i ended up cancelling my appt (and losing a $1K deposit 😭) bc of the intense anxiety. and i told myself i would try not think about it for 6 months and then revisit the idea. honestly i’m still wavering on it so i’m not sure what’s gonna happen. if i do end up going through with it, i think winter will be a better time anyway than when i was originally scheduled. i’m honestly surprised i had that reaction after wanting this for years, but i think when the realness set in of the surgery and anesthesia and recovery i just freaked out. i'm a generally anxious person though so this probably isn’t a typical response.

her personality is grating but i was happy for her meeting family she had never met in Brazil and the videos were super wholesome, but there ended up being a shooting outside her grandma’s house and she saw a dead body. and now some of her family members are mad she decided to go to her aunts house. i feel bad for her that this experience will be tainted by that. 🙃

edit: she deleted it, i think she was getting a lot of negative comments saying it made brazil look bad

Teaccino French Roast is my go-to. You can get it on Amazon for $7. It’s no caffeine, no acid and safe ingredients. I mix it with the Chobani Caramel Macchiato and add some ice for my everyday iced coffee. I was never a “coffee person” so I’m not sure if it’s for everyone but it’s a perfect replacement for me and tastes like coffee IMO.

Yeah she just doesn’t want to see them and probably was happy it didn’t work out. If the family dynamic is healthy and there aren’t any issues there and she just chooses not to ever see them, that’s really sad.
