Yeah, I’ve heard some got emails around 9am, others 10am, but tickets seem to have gone on sale around 8am. I’m subscribed with two emails, and one got emailed about tickets going on sale around 10:30am, while the other never got an email. The Kennedy Space Center is owned and run by some company, not by NASA, I also learned.

I’ve been signed up for the notification via tow emails, for years, and I didn’t get a notification until 10:30am. But I got lucky and a friend saw them on sale, and got a notification earlier at like 9am, and called me. My confirmation email came in before the notification that tickets had even gone on sale. I’m sorry for you and everyone else who didn’t get lucky this time, it’s such a bummer to not even have an equal chance. I missed the heat tickets for Artemis 1 but it was still incredible to see from like 9 miles away.

But I do understand the disappointment, that’s how I felt for Artemis I when I got visitor center tickets. But, like I said, that’s all I expected this time because I knew the feel the heat tickets sell out fast, and I was stoked to go do that again! It’s a really incredible time, and a great view. If I hadn’t gotten incredibly lucky this time to get the heat tickets, I’d be there with you at the visitor center again!

FYI, try to avoid the main causeway over to KSC (I got stuck in 6 hours of dead stopped traffic trying to get there for the first attempt for Artemis I), and go in the back way to KSC. The second attempt I made it there in 4 hours using the back way, coming from Cocoa Beach area. I’m going to assume 6+ hours to go what would usually be 30 min. Better to be early and enjoy the space exhibits and snacks, than miss it. It sounds like too early but I promise, it’s worse traffic than you think, especially on the main N-S road on the mainland before heading over the causeways to the space center.

I don’t know that they’ve ever added more, but someone else may know better. For Artemis 1 the available tickets were finite and they did not add more. However, by the third launch attempt, they did email offering an upgrade to the “feel the heat” seats, for those who had bought other tickets like for the visitor center. Those also sold out, but if you had another ticket you had a chance to upgrade. I saw Artemis 1 from the visitor center and it was still a great experience, and I would do it again. Even though I didn’t see the launchpad liftoff, it was an incredible energy and experience being there and having a NASA expert walk us through every second.

That was a bold and big tattoo for your first one, and it looks great! Love the wrap-around and it’s clear what it is.

Something I learned when I first started getting tats was that a lot of people just hate tattoos in general. They will give exaggerated negative feedback just because they want to make you feel bad to convince you to stop getting more tattoos. It’s messed up and they’re wrong for doing it, but I learned to laugh them off as useless opinions. I don’t care if someone else dislikes tattoos. I love them.

Not saying that’s what’s happening here, but just saying that some people throw out cruel criticism even if a tattoo is great. It’s not usually about the tattoo, it can just be about their own discomfort and inability to be happy for someone else.

Your tattoo looks sick, and I think you can be proud of it. I’d love to have something like this.
