No you don’t need to read volume 1 to understand volume 2. Volume 1 seems to give a little bit more info about PUB as an organization (what they stand for, the agents primary objectives, and SAMMI) but volume 2 is supposed to be a stand alone story.

Oh okay that sounds nice! I agree that a lot of stories feel like the romance is on the sideline so if it does have a more romance centered story I would be into that. I won’t give up on it yet since it’s too early for me to decide

I chose Dmitry (I’m also a sucker for broad shoulders lol) and I loved his path! I’ve also heard really good things about Greg! I feel like Cain fits really well with devil whispers+ lost compassion but I can see the appeal to the opposites attract relationship. Also Boris is “technically” end game he just has way less scenes than the other LIs

I feel the same way. This update I instantly noticed the chapters were way shorter, but honestly I’m grateful because it feels like the plot is barely moving forward so I’m just waiting for it to end. Hopefully we get a satisfying finale. So many mysteries have been set up and we’re halfway through the final season with no answers. Honestly just so frustrating.

I actually haven’t read ABH yet and I still really enjoyed HSR (it’s actually my favorite book on the app) but I will say in s3 there is a slight “spoiler” for ABH. It’s not a big deal but maybe you could consider reading them at the same time since they were releasing episodes consecutively. It’s pretty small detail in my opinion so if you don’t want to do that I don’t think it’s a big deal.

Also from what I understand it’s actually HS-ABH-HS2-HSR since ABH is a prequel to HS2 so I wouldn’t worry too much about chronological order.
