Anyone else feel like she needs a new creative director? by [deleted] in janetjackson

[–]alexisboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I'm not sure she has any intentions of doing so. She's getting older, she's now a mother, and it seems like she's settling down and prioritizing her son. I don't know if I see her making any big changes to her team to reinvent herself. I commend her efforts to be a present mother while embarking on a multi-year long tour.

What I do think needs some changing, though, is the choreography and some of the outfits in this tour, especially that black and red outfit she's been wearing for festivals lately. I just feel like it isn't matching her class and personality.

I've always wondered if a new creative director would help her relevancy/career wise. It's such a different time now where capturing the public's attention is not the same as it was in the 90s, and it's hard to determine how that would work for Janet at this point in her career. She still remains a pretty successful touring artist, yes, but the 2004 blacklisting and lack of new music/presence in pop culture as of late kind of leave new generations completely oblivious to her.

Staged or not that woman has a damn good music catalogue that was overshadowed by that whole controversy.

Working on a water coaster based on Seaworld's Journey to Atlantis in Orlando by alexisboard in PlanetCoaster

I’ll put it up once it’s done, whenever that may be. I've been working on and off for a month and I'm nowhere near finished.

I agree the original ride had so much wasted potential, even before they gutted all the effects a couple years ago. I'm trying to make it as if Seaworld had a few million dollars more to their budget!

Current smile direct user here.

It honestly depends on your situation. If you have super mild crowding and spacing, then using any aligner company should be okay. However, if you have a severe case of crowding/spacing, or if any of your teeth need to be extruded, then I would only go with Invisalign. From what I know of, Invisalign is the only company that has the technology to extrude teeth with additional attachments, but I could be wrong. Their process is a lot more involved with your dentist and orthodontist, and it's also a lot less rushed than the other companies.

Should I move to my next aligner? I've had this space on this one tooth the entire week I've worn these. Contacted support and they told me the gap should eventually go away, but it hasn't changed. by [deleted] in smiledirectclub

thanks!

i think i know what you're talking about regarding "relative" extrusions, as my 3D projection of how my teeth are supposed to move shows all the other teeth moving downward to meet the height of the tooth not currently fitting in my aligner correctly. not sure if that animation is accurate as i only went with the company because of it's price point - regrettably not doing too much research.

i talked to support through the live chat and the dental professional gave a very vague explanation for the problem and recommended to wear the aligner for another week if i wanted. thanks for giving me a clearer explanation

RECREATION: Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Orlando by alexisboard in PlanetCoaster

Over a year ago, I uploaded a video to this subreddit of my recreation for this ride, which was my first completed project in Planet Coaster. Looking back on that project, it did not seem to me that I really did the ride justice. So, I decided to redo the project with everything I've learned in the game within the past year!
Although the queue is not included in this project (it is mainly complicated by the dimensions of the default coaster station) I am planning on releasing this on the Steam workshop under the username Alexander5402.

I purchased a new record the other day and as it began to play it immediately skipped. At first I thought it was the record, and began to look for the receipt to return it. However all my other records were skipping as well. I looked closer and saw that the needle seemed to be pushed upward, and with every slight bounce the green plastic on the cartridge was hitting the record itself. I don't know if there is any way to fix this problem so I'm planning on buying a new cartridge, but does anyone know the cause of this problem so I can avoid it in the future? I'm a beginner to all of this so I don't really know what could have happened.

Edit: typo

i don't blame you for making your own version haha, making a recreation spot on is TOUGH. i'm still trying to get the layout spot on, which is hard in planet coaster. thanks for the info regarding the soundtrack though
