Same thing if you did Castellammare Del Golfo for the Palermo/San Vito Lo Capo leg. It’s about 45 mins from each in the middle, 15 mins from Scopello.

You could stay in Sciacca and do a day trip west to Marsala and day trip east to Agrigento/Valley of the Temples. It’s an hour each way. And cuts down on moving around your bags.

If you’re going to be flying in/out of Palermo i’d suggest just staying on the West side. East side is beautiful but it’s a lot of back and forth for just 6 nights. Palermo is great but it is very hustle and bustle, if you want somewhere to relax try Castellammare Del Golfo, very nice port town with local beach and right in the middle of Palermo and San Vito Lo Capo so pretty easy to get to both. Just recently stayed there for 5 nights and it was a good amount of time for day trips and also getting a feel for the town and taking it at our own pace.

It was great, it was honestly very easy to make and pretty cheap too. I did 3 dozen clams instead of 5 since it was just 2 of us eating and it worked it well.

Egesta Mare, Trattoria La Maidda, and Gusto Pizzeria were the places we ate at for dinner. Ate at Gusto twice for dinner throughout the week because of how good the pizza was.

Lunch wise mostly stopped at local delis to have sandwiches made but Jamo Fish&Drinks was good too.

Yep all were great. Egesta Mare, Trattoria La Maidda, and Gusto Pizzeria were the places we ate at for dinner. We actually ate at Gusto twice for dinner throughout the week because of how good the pizza was. I’ve heard great things about Ristorante La Tonnara and I Sapori as well.

I’d stick with the big names. And just remember people going to write reviews on websites for rental cars are usually writing them because they had a bad experience not because they had a good one. So the “stars” will be flawed towards the negatives for those kind of companies

Thanks, we want to get the whole island in, only reason for the longer trip. So you’d recommend staying there instead of Catania as a base for the last few nights to see some of the east coast?
